I have one in my garden here in the UK, South East facing front garden so only gets morning sun, it attracts lots of aphids on the tips of this bush, also you can only prune the new shoots when pruning as it flowers on the older woody stems. Best to prune around September time or after it's flowered, they can grow to a large size so give it plenty of room!
Love your channel....always provides helpful details for all the plants. We also have Common Snowball Viburnum in our backyard. They are in their blooming peak now. So easy to grow and disease resistant....a must have specimen...😁
I'm asking this because I love your Channel and because I trust what you say. Maybe in the future have an edible flower series? The only one I have growing at the moment is a hibiscus and our goal is to have all of the plants on our property be edible, beautiful and functional. Thank you for all of the videos, time and education you provide!
Greetings from Greece. I want to buy one Viburnum opulus "Roseum" , but I have some worries. Will it last the summer heat? Also, is it possible to turn it from a schrub into a topiary, or a small tree, and how? And how long will it last in a big pot? Thank you!
The bottom flowers on mine are drooping. After I watered yesterday i noticed it. ??? I have two of these. Beautiful. Covered in flowers and about three ft.
I believe this is the variety my grandma had, it was huge! It was typically in bloom around my birthday (today) and it is a sight to see in full bloom with a shrub that large! Do you have any bearded iris? Typically our bearded iris bloom around the same time in 7a and is a nice contrast in the same bed together. And as you know they can be divided every 2-3 years and moved out to give the snowball bush more room if they are packed too tight.
Hi, I just planted this in my garden. Good morning sun, not too deep, not overwatered, but I noticed after 2 days of raining, that the leaves and blooms started to droop. i dont see any pests on on it, do you have an idea what causes for both leaves and the blooms to droop? im in zone 7a.
Hello I hope you see my message, I'm in Southern California zone 10b the my location nursery has this viburnum, do you think it can servive here? When do I fertilize it and how often do I water it? Please please if you can give me some tips.
the chinese and eastern snowball viburnum confuse me. im in georgia and would prefer a summer flowering evergreen shrub. spring blooming things only bloom for 1 week. which one would i get longer blooms out of?
Hi there, I have a pressing question: I live in zone 8B and 9A and I am looking for a low maintenance evergreen shrub or bush that is between 4 and 5 feet maximum height, with medium to large white flowers that takes full sun. It seems viburnums are semi-evergreen and I am very interested in the snowball viburnum. Is there a dwarf or other type of snowball viburnum available within the 4-5 height range, and if not, do you know of any other evergreen with large white flowers that would fit this description? Unfortunately I can't go with Gardenias because they are far too high maintenance for my busy life right now, and Camellias are out of the question since they need tons of shade. I am at a loss here! Overview: Evergreen shrub or bush Zone 8B-9A 4-5 ft. Max height Full sun Large white flowers Thank you in advance!!
with vegetable gardening season well upon us .. i have been patiently waiting for something relevant to that for dozens of videos..since i like this guy and his narrative .. but im gonna have to move on .
