Actually the Volvo 240 Turbo did compete in this race... driven by Thomas Lindstrom and Anders Olafsson. An early race for the private team while the car was in development. It finished 10th.
Hey you two children arguing about Clark and Senna, do it somewhere else on a relevant page!!! Grow up and admit they were both some of the best of their times, both met with tragic "Motor racing" accidents regardless of discussing their talents, in Italy and Germany, but both serve to remind us that talent has limits to how often it will "save you" when you are on the limit week in and week out. This video is all about Hans, Manfred, Tom, Dieter and the gang!
I'm from DownUnda but can sum1 tell me the name of blonde female driver? I think she is Mercede whatsoever her last name is? She came to Bathurst in 1987, if it is her?
@MrTautologist No, it's not. Unlike the others, Senna did anything he could to get 1st, even if it meant putting himself at risk. You could say he's the ultimate driver. The only thing he focused was on winning races and he was a lot more competitive and aggressive than the other two drivers. There was not one situation in a car where Senna was nothing less than "excellent".
@MrTautologist Aryton Senna>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jim Clarke. To compare any other racing driver to Aryton Senna is pretty ridiculous, to be honest. Just because he was competitive in various motorsports doesn't mean he's a better driver. He may have been competitive in all of them, but not even close to how much Aryton Senna was in Formula One.
