Great video, I m going with my family to paris from London in mid August on my own car after that want to go to Switzerland for 3 nights. Please advise route and area and for return journey?
We are glad that you found it useful. From Paris you can drive towards Nancy to avoid a lot of toll roads. It is a longer journey but you can detour to Strasbourg for a day so win win. Or you can stop in Troyes in France, it is very beautiful. There are so many options available for your return journey, depending on how much time you want to spend for your return journey, from Switzerland it is a nice and easy drive to Germany where you have plenty of family friendly places to visit and then from Germany we love to stop in Belgium before going back to the uk. A delicious waffle in Bruges is a fantastic way to finish your journey. Check out our Baden-Württemberg video from Germany for some examples of places to see in the area for inspiration. Stopping in the area makes the journey more manageable if you decide to drive using Switzerland- Germany - Belgium route. This is a good alternative to visit multiple places on the same journey.
