#Budapest, Hungary
Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is a famous European city with a rich history and cultural heritage. The city has many attractions that combine different styles and eras. Here are a few of the top attractions in Budapest:
Chain Bridge (Széchenyi Lánchíd): This historic bridge is one of the most recognizable icons of Budapest. Built in the middle of the 19th century, it connects both parts of the city - Buda and Pest - across the Danube River. The bridge impresses with its architectural beauty and majesty.
Buda Castle: This historic castle is located on a hill in the Buda area. It served as the residence of Hungarian kings and emperors and is now home to many museums and galleries such as the Hungarian National Museum and the Budapest History Gallery.
Hungarian Parliament Building: This majestic parliamentary complex is one of the most beautiful buildings in Budapest and a symbol of the country. With 691 rooms, it is the third largest parliament in the world. The building is made in the Neo-Gothic style and is decorated with many sculptures and details.
St. Stephen's Basilica: This is the largest church in Budapest, named after the first Hungarian king, St. Stephen. The interior of the tower impresses with its beauty, and the square in front of the church offers a beautiful view of the city.
Thermal Baths and Spas: Budapest is famous for its thermal springs and as such there are many baths and spas to be found here. The most famous of them are the Gellert Thermae, the Széchenyi Thermae and the Széchenyi Thermae.
Heroes' Square: This is one of the most famous squares in Budapest and serves as a monument to Hungarian history and national pride. On the square stands a monument known as the Millennium Memorial, which commemorates important historical figures in Hungary.
Vajdahunyad Castle: Built in the style of Hungarian medieval architecture, this castle is located in the Varosliget City Park. Now the castle houses the Agricola Museum, dedicated to agriculture and the agrarian history of Hungary.
This is just a small overview of the main attractions of Budapest. The city is rich and diverse, offering visitors many interesting places to explore and enjoy.

Good old mistake: on 8:40 you could see on your vid the exit gate to the inner yard of the Buda Castle, but in real life you not discover it. So this mean you skip one of the best statue of the city, and an amazing view to the other, hilly side. Next time hope you would see... About the statues on the Liberty square. Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush statue. You asked why are there. First of all there is the Embassy of the US. Secondary there is the only remained "communist era" monument about the Soviet "liberators". There was several attempt to move away that monument, because majority of hungarians see that as the monument of the Soviet Occupation. But because politically we not want to anger Russia, we left there, but we put that around these statues of the former american presidents, who finally ended the cold war, pushed the soviets to give up their military existence in Central Europe, and destroyed the Sovietunion - and with this indirectly liberated Hungary. So Reagan and old Bush are the real liberators of Hungary, not what that communist era monument suggesting (that is why the part of the monument which facing the parliament was covered with tall trees). Personally my opinion, that of course the soviet soldiers sacrificed their lives for a higher cause to destroy nazism, and they deserve a memorial. But unfortunately later Stalin's imperialist policy corrupted this noble deed...They can be a memorial somewhere else in Budapest,, but not here in this central place, where they can trolling the US embassy since almost 80 years, locating the monument front of them... The third "american" statue is from Harry Hill Bardholtz, who was the american member of the Entente generals committee in 1919-20. After Austria-Hungary collapsed, a power vacuum emerged, and several horrific event happened in Budapest. For example romanian troops entered the city and tried to stole the 1000 years old Hungarian Holy Crown, what is the major representing symbol of the Hungarian state (it is now placed in the Parliament) and can also be found in the Hungarian coat of arms. This general saved the crown from the romanians, that's why he got that statue. The other side of the square there is a monument of the nazi german occupation, when Hitler militarily occupied his "on paper" ally, Hungary in march 19, 1944. This give a context to the soviet "liberation-occupation" memory, and showing that Hungary was not a souvereign in that time. Great video, interesting slow style, but with that people can think they walking with you. Good job! 👍
