Kind of strange seeing Gagarina singing about a million voices in 2015 when russia in 2014 occupied donetsk, and crimea with that trapping millions of people in russia and displacing even more; effectively making them voiceless.

Actually, since then, Salvador Sobral came back from what he said and said it was on Eurovison DNA to have those diferents kind of songs and he was too harsh at the time.

My fav year is probably 2021. Since 2020.we didn't have Eurovision,we were all desperately waiting the Eurovision 2021.to start.

In 2018, my guess is that people were just excited to see Alexander Rybak back no matter the song(I think he is a really likeable guy with a lot of fans) and just wanted him in the finale, and/or maybe a lot more watched the finale; maybe a lot of casual listeners/watchers just watch the finale, and therefore more to vote for other songs there, or many of the high placed songs came from semi one? I don't remember. I like the song and performance, not really that bad, but just not as good as Fairytale.

So happy Kate Miller-Heike won her Semi, my all time favourite Eurovision song. Same as you, Alexander Rybak winning his semi with THAT song (If only writing a song was so simple)...I had no idea with either of these!!

Hey guys while we wait for the real final, do you want to listen to two songs sung by Angelina Mango. The first is "Fila Indiana", Angelina's song, the second "La rondine" written and performed by the great Pino Mango, her father, which Angelina sang in the Sanremo cover evening. Eurovision 2022, In semi final 2, Sheldon Riley came second with his song Not the same following Sweden but he slipped to 15th in the Grand Finale. It was really disappointing and heart breaking. I don't know how Sweden managed to win Semi and grabbed 4th position in the finale.

I can no longer listen to serious, pompous and howler songs. It's all the same, boring. In fact, only Luna stands out, it's a light, pleasant song, something new. The rest is hard and boring!
