@@EmirGD8 there are a billion different ways to make each countries flag, creativity wouldn’t drop, it would increase as each year every country would have to come up with a new way to make their flag
Thanks! My favorite postcards were Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 (I'm from Azerbaijan), Albania 🇦🇱 (love that tatoo), Denmark 🇩🇰, Norway 🇳🇴, Armenia 🇦🇲 and The Netherlands 🇳🇱
This was the best postcard idea; I loved the idea of the artists owning the creation of the flag; the following years were too boring, for me. PD: My favourite was North Macedonia, Portugal, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Norway, Albania, Armenia, UK, Iceland. A lot of love from Ecuador.
I remember these!! This was the 2nd ESC I watched in my life, and I remember I was obsessed with the postcards! But of course I didn't know they were called "postcards", at that time I called them "the flags the singers make" or something like that, ahh, the memories.
There are some beautiful post cards, but for me the stand out ones were by Denmark, Ireland, Moldova, Portugal, Spain. The best one by far was the one by United Kingdom.
this is my favourite set of postcards because it shows loads of different ways you can create a country’s flag, while also being quite relatable, like conchita using red and white dresses and molly (my personal favourite) using buses in london for all of the red sections, that one hit majorly close to home, literally! and denmark’s looking like a living room maybe because it was the ‘home’ country. tbh the one that looks the most fun to create was france’s, i mean who wouldn’t want to ride bikes with smoke bombs railing at the back? i really want these postcards to happen again, just to show the individuality of every performer
I love this idea. Because one, it showcases the artists themselves as well as their photography skills and two it also shows what each country is also known for. :)
By far the best postcards possible! I don't know why they can't do this again. The person who came up with this idea really should have gotten a big bonus!
My boyfriend of 5 years is Danish and I’m Greek, this Eurovision was hosted in Denmark, and I remember it clearly that I was in Denmark in his house, trying to vote which postcard was the best. Ofc I liked the Greek and he liked the Danish, but in my opinion the most creative and awesome was Portugal for me, and Azerbaijan for him. I really liked the idea of these postcards, the next ones were boring.
1. Bad songs at a result but with great postcards : Azerbaijan, Belarus, France (very creative), FYR Macedonia (very science), Georgia(reflect the wine industry was great in Georgia, also patterns are beautiful, better than the old flag), Germany (very accurate one), Greece(reflection of a coastal nation with shells ), Hungary (rubik cube confirmed) Iceland (projection on Iceland natural water fountains), Israel (Israel salt farm as background), Italy, Latvia (fit the title of the song), Malta (how can they found this unique frame?) Moldova(pottery art) , Poland (the only one using her singing voice),Portugal(wise decision!), Romania (clever to use fireworks as inspiration),San Marino (completely drawn by Valentna on her own)and UK (most participants) On the opposite side: Russia(the 'CHEAPEST' POSTCARD IN 2014 EUROVISION) 2. Good song with great postcard as well: Armenia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands (yes it fit the country's image), Norway, Sweden (the most dangerous one, she nearly fell into the swimming pool, but she was brave to do that, well done), Switzerland (domino!), Ukraine (most clever decision!) 3. What the flags are made of Flags made by some local product: Armenia (fruit on the top), Italy(agricultural goods), Netherlands( floral products) made with textiles: Austria (the dresses),Belgium and Spain Played with lights: Azerbaijan, Iceland, Malta, Romania and worst of all, Russia Using their body as part of it: Albania and Portugal Made of furnitures: Denmark and Norway (but Sweden supposed to do this, it is the birthplace of IKEA) Mass mobilization: Lithuania and UK Made by sports-related things: Belarus and Sweden Not made or form by themselves, only discovered: Russia Made the flag under cold climate: Finland and Iceland Made of ice: Finland Made by their hands: Armenia, Belgium, Germany, Latvia, Norway and San Marino Formed by books: Slovenia
You could say Romania's postcard really...played with fire, am I right? Anyway, my favorite postcards were Israel, the U.K., Denmark, Azerbaijan, and Lithuania (purely because the moment they opened the umbrellas was super satisfying).
I personally enjoyed those postcards the most, when they did it the clever way. Like Ukraine or Poland. Both did not have enormous budget like ie. the british one(they had it way harder tho obviously), but the way it smoothly transitiined was delightful.
I think this was the best postcard but I'm really proud of the last year's ones from Liverpool in honour of Ukraine too. A very effective use of the British concept in twinning and like these ones shows off the contestants personalities and interests.
Some thoughts of mine i I would watch this for the first time Albania - wow I expected something like that Armenia - very cute that he took it also to stage Austria - lovely and it looked fun doing that Azerbaijan - wow she even got the moon and star and it looks difficult Belarus - wow that's much work Belgium - you don't often see a man doing that Denmark - still don't get why there was the couch and TV and also much work as it seems Estonia - Interesting one Finland - where did they have blue ice from? France - This looks fun Georgia - It's alcohol so what can you say. XD Germany - Candy! :D xD Greece - I see a beach, the se and shells there. Clichés imo. xD Hungary - Congrats! I never managed to get at least one of them done. Iceland - Very interesting one with these lights. Ireland - Seems like it was fun doing that. :D Israel - Where is that? Italy - 100% Italy xD Latvia - They obviously baked a cake. Lithuania - I like this too. Macedonia - Imo this is one of the best and most difficult ones. Malta - Looks beautiful in the end. Moldova - Nice to see someone doing his/her actual occupation. :D Montenegro - Wondering how many pieces are there needed. The Netherlands - Tulips and the Canals in Amsterdam. A bit cliché but nice. Norway - exactly the same as at Moldova Poland - Wondering how high these notes actually were. Portugal - Looks very difficult to draw that. I don't really get why she stood there too. Romania - I love Firework and these things. Russia - I love these things in an amusement park. :D San Marino - Imo the most difficult one to draw. Slovenia - Interesting that she found so many books in these colours. Spain - Looks fun doing that. And it looks easier than it actually is I guess. Sweden - God that takes lungs. Switzerland - Also lots of work. Ukraine - The advantage of having trains in one of the colours you need. I'm wondering how much time it took (and the reactions of people there) United Kingdom - I love this. After this (especially Georgia, Germany, Italy and Latvia) I'm hungry now.
Great how Dilara managed to get also the moon and star there ( while others ( e.g. Spain ) didn't get these small things ). I'm some how sure that Tijana and Ilse and Waylon were the only one who did it all by herself and without any help from professionals.
Im so here for Andras hounoring Professor Rubrik and Emma's tricolori salad and of course Latvia are baking a cake and the Netherlands arranging tulips. Christina is a much better potter than a singer. Yup our postcard with the London buses and rainmacs was great.
