Lithuania yes, the rest not. I was listening to it on the radio, and was not impressed by those at all. Most of the songs that did qualify was very bad.
I actually like the Latvia song. It was in lines with Moldova and Norway. I think Latvia should have gone through based on the performance on the Semi-Final not before. They did a great job with the colors and I am not into a lot of colors myself. But only 10 could qualify. I got 9 out of 10 but Latvia was not in my list.
I was so happy, when Iceland was announced, my number one from this semifinal. Lithuania was also a nice suprise. Judging on how nervous was I for Moldova, I probably will have heart attack tomorrow, while waiting for the Q/NQ of my country (Poland).

Buzzing for Iceland and Moldova 🇮🇸🥰🇲🇩 genuinely thought I was the only Eurovision fan who loved them! Ronela was 100% a shock but looking back it was messy. They should have kept the national final staging; the whole theme, choreo, and general staging ruined the song I think, her vocals just weren’t as good either… Plus we all knew that Pia had been struggling vocally to keep up with the song. It just wasn’t a quality performance tonight. Buzzing with these qualifiers but oh my god they gave me a heart attack there with S10!
So agree with you about Ronela.. I cant see why it has to be on Final.. if I was the jury, I think I would not give the high score too.. but yeah I like her performance in National Final
I personally didn't like Albania but I saw why people would like the song. But this performance? Wtf, it felt like some kind of softcore porn :/ Tried too hard to be sexy, not fitting the song, random choreo and dance moves, all kind of messy. Austria however was predictable. I mean, we knew Pia's vocals were not the greatest and they couldn't manage to find a decent solution for this.
Liked Albania and Austrias songs but their vocals let them down. Didn’t like Switzerlands song but he was good at singing. Latvia should have gone through too.
A bunch of nice but boring songs in the final (Greece, Iceland, the Netherlands, Portugal - deadly boring). I‘m sorry Slovenia didn‘t make it - such a charming song. Surprised Denmark didn‘t - sounded like Bonny Tyler singing „Only Teardrops.“ And I‘m very happy the most beautiful melody of this year‘s competition will be heard in the final: Lithuania.
Having your top 3 in the semi final announced all next to each other is such an amazing feeling. I could not be more happy for Iceland, Lithuania and Portugal qualifying! I’m sad to see Albania and Slovenia go since I enjoyed both songs but I can see why they missed out. Biggest surprise was probably Switzerland being announced immediately.
I´m really happy with the results. I was rooting for Armenia, The Netherlands, Lithuania and Iceland. Also great that my prediction is right, got 10/10
I ask the same question. Happy for all those you mentioned especially Portugal and Moldova even when Moldova’s song is not my type of song. But they did a fantastic performance. “They through the house through the window” … they did everything right on the Semi-Finals.
I thought the same thing but if you think about, Moldova put a fantastic and colorful show and just before Portugal which wasn’t enough time to catch some fresh air to hear our beautiful MARO. I was surprised by Switzerland and because it was announced first made it more shocking but I liked the song. Iceland was also a surprise but I also liked it. I was shocked by Albania’s opening act and overall presentation. The helicopter hair and the sexual parts I didn’t think the jury was going for that. Overall, best songs went through.
@@HO0660 I liked Albania's studio version... The rehearsals have disappointed so much, overall it's was messy and Ronela's outfit on the National Final was better. I didn't enjoy Austria but I thought they would qualify because it's was so overrated and loved by fans. And for the last, I was shocked by Switzerland because I found his performance a bit dull, so as Iceland...

En la península Ibérica somos dos. Si no nos apoyamos, a ningún lugar vamos. Pero el talento es lo que resalta y cuando hay talento de verdad se aprecia a distancia. It could be said that it a good thing that jury and the public weren’t influenced by some the bias commentary by hard core Eurovision fans and websites who had conducted a campaign promoting their personal favourites and rubbished these songs for last few weeks.
-I'm SO HAPPY for Switzerland and Iceland. Really happy because those songs no one. paid attention to and they are through -I see people upset about Austria and Albania, but they REALLY screwed themselves over. -I wanted Latvia tho
Yes most of the ones going through was very bad too. Only two of my favourites went to the finals, Ukraine, that i am almost obsessed by, and Moldova, that i liked a lot.
Matt I had the same reaction as you and thought they'd been given the wrong list to read out! 🤣 I'm gutted to lose Albania and Austria but neither had great vocals and the Albanian revamp was too messy with horrible choreography. I'm thrilled to bits for Moldova though!
man, I predicted 9/10 of the qualifiers. People really slept on the jury-bait songs, I knew that Ukraine and Norway were going to steal a lot of the televote which left the door open for Iceland or Switzerland to qualify. Only one I missed was Lithuania!
I am honestly very happy that Albania and Austria are out. I voted for Iceland and Moldova. A beautifull song and and a fun song are in the final 🇮🇸🇲🇩❤️
7 out of my top 10 got through. Was most surprised to see Croatia and Austria not qualifying while Switzerland did. I thought the former two had great vocals and staging, with Austria having one of the most viewed songs in this Eurovision.
Had moldova #11 and switzerland #14. Based on today's performances, i had austria #9 and albania #10 so i m not surprised. My top 8 got through :) austria was kind of expected, i think albania got too ambitious and it ended up very messy :/
Europe, listen to me: for a while already I'm telling you that there is a dark horse in the room, which you underrated: MARO, from Portugal. Curiously, it's the song you all respect, need silence to hear it and there is even a naughty wish to clap! People!! Just follow your Soul! Forget the nationalist egos, this is just about music!
Matt, you seem not very surprised that Albania did not qualify. I can't blame you. After her performance and that staging, my conviction was cemented. There were other deserving qualifiers. But I'm surprised that many did not think Switzerland should qualify. I totally disagree. His voice and song are on point and the staging just magnified it. Well-deserved.

Denmark may not have brought their best song ever to this contest, but it's an absolute disgrace to see so many dull ballads go through instead. Something needs to be done about this voting system.
@@HO0660 Denmark didn't do well in any polls, so yeah, they were expected to not qualify. But the same thing can be said about Ireland and Croatia, and even Malta failed to qualify. All decent midtempo songs that for some reason are lost in the ESC system.
Albania not qualifying is a crime. Btw the production was sooo messy, this literally was the worst Eurovision semi I’ve ever watched! The opening was really weird, the postcards are ugly asf, the hosts made me cringe all the time and what the hell were those shaky steadycam camera shots. It was such a big mess. What a downgrade from last years first semi final. They better buckle up for the next shows...
Maybe he was just interested lol😂.. sometimes I find hatred comments on my favorite songs no matter if they are from Eurovision or not..... haters will always exist...... unfortunately 🙄
