The 7th place would have 136p TIES: 25th Norway 24th UK Because: - Both Got the same amount of voters [2] - Both Had the same highest points [3] - UK higher cause they were earlier in the Running order 14th Luxembourg 15th Latvia - Cause Luxembourg got points from more countries 12th Germany 13th Cyprus - Cause Germany got points from more countries

These really feel like 2015 results: very low points for the bottom and middle field and very high points for the top 10

The same occurred with last year's old voting system. I guess that when both jury and televote award a high position in their charts, it reflects a boost. This of course applies also to countries that get tons of points just by one of the component and still in the other component doesn't receive such low ratings. Portugal and 1sra3l came way lower than the points with the new system because the former flopped in the televote and the latter flopped in the juries

Not trying to upset you but her voice itself was actually a bit shaky and off key at times. Her voice was definitely not a strength that night. Not a bad song but it‘s lack of a recognition factor or memorable melody just makes it a bad fit for a competition like this.

The 2013-2015 system? Mind If you put in some words what it is? Well, since I googlet it, here it is: 50/50 tele/jury. Each participating country used 50% televoting combined with 50% jury voting from a five-member jury. The televoting and jury voting ranked all the countries (not just the top 10). The tele and jury points were combined, and the top-ten songs were awarded with 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10,12 points from each country.

Clue me in on this, but under the old system, would that have made Baby Lasagna the third contender to have received 300 points and lose? I think Kristian Kostov (Bulgaria 2017) would have been the second (Polina Gagarina got 303 in 2015 and lost).

2009-2012 it’s Jury top 10 tele top 10 combined and then the top 10 countries of the combined top are getting points 2013-2015 was with ranking not points it was 1-26 jury 1-26 tele combined 1-26. And the top 10 of the combined ranking would get points

Same as today, the juries and the televote are listed the songs 1 -26 but count together for one vote (1 to 12) from each country.

Each country only had one set of points to give. The full jury rankings and the full televoting rankings get combined and the top 10 of that collective ranking gets points.
