If the staging is done right, it might. The song is to 'wierd' (not a ballad, not a bop, very artsy) to keep casual viewer in front of tv without epic staging.

I think most of those hates are Finns they say Baby Lasagne stole the sleeves, colours Green and and Pink from Kaarija😅 Finns are moody, envious people. Croatia is one of my favourites

Moldova may get in if it’s good staging, Sorry don’t like Portugal or Australia (their video I just find creepy). I really don't understand how Portugal is so low in the betting this year! I'd like to ask you what you think about the semi-finals being voted for by the public? Aren't we in for some surprises?

It's public only semi and the song is not so 'public friendly' (out of the box like croatia and finland or generic dance like cyprus and luxembourg). People are not betting on a song that might stay in semi. That's why it's so low in odds. If it goes through to the final, it will jump in odds closer to top 10.

I think Slovenia has more of a chance over Ireland of qualifying. Croatia is a defo qualifier, the bookies aren't usually wrong but I agree with the rest of your choices.

I understand your thought process on Croatia and I definitely think it's an overhyped song (even though its one of the best this year for me). Yeah it's not the most innovative song but generic rock song is kinda harsh to say. Really rhythmic and catchy chorus in my opinion. If it was not 1st in the odds and like 14th I think you would have had a different opinion on it and that's what throws you off. Only love though ❤

I think Slovenia will qualify. Unfortunately, i can't see a path for Moldova and i have my doubts that both Cyprus and Luxembourg will get through. So, if you put a gun to my head, I'd say take out Cyprus and Moldova and put in Slovenia and Croatia and that would be my 10 to the final

Cyprus has more chance then luxembourg to qualify. Both songs are forgettable generic 'meh', but first one does not sound like sertab from 2004. produced on wish. Cyprus is good to go, luxembourg needs a major upgrade, both sonically and visually (the only good thing are the dancers, everything alse is bellow mediocre).

I know I'm going to very very upset and probably will cry after Semi 1 😂😅 so many of my favs are in this semi and my Wishlist is very different to my predictions! Same ,I think Cyprus, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Luxembourg/Ireland will not make it. As much as I like Australia this year, that one is a borderline qualifier at best too. Would love it though if somehow Finland didn't qualify, I see no merit in that song or performance

This is the first year I've struggled to find 10 songs I want to qualify in the semi-final. Semi-final one is really weak for me. I don't like most of the songs in the second half. And out of the first half I just want Croatia Poland Lithuania and Ireland to qualify. Not really bothered about any of the others. I can't stand the Ukraine song so hope that doesn't and I really hope Finland doesn't as it's trash

I was 'whatever' with ukraine when i heard the snippet. Then i listened the whole song and realised that third of the song is annoyingly fast rap in ukranian, 2/3 of the song is just repeating same three sentences about religious figure and religious sadist over and over again on mid-tempo generic beat. It does not deserve to qualify in semi where you have portugal, slovenia and serbia on the edge of qualification. Finland is special kind of stupid crap.

@@CyberSlammer2024 Majority of people don't care what any song is about, if they like it they vote. The song itself is not horrible like finland, but it's also not 'wow'. As i said, to be sure qualifier when there are much, much better songs hanging on the edge of qualification, is plain stupid. I would also not put ireland through. Although i like the studio version, the live version is beyond bad. Just a bunch of mumbling and screaming. You can barely understand every 6th word. Portugal should go to finals instead.

It's the one song that stands from of the crowd. Every other song has a sort of pair in style, sound, 'wierdness' or performer with whom it will fight for votes: Ireland - netherlands / finland - estonia / portugal - serbia /slovenia - georgia / greece - italy / azerbaijan - france / norway - san marino / poland- austria / lithuania - belgium / switzerland - ukraine / uk - sweden......and also we have a generic triplets luxembourg - malta - cyprus. Nothing else sounds or looks or vibes even close to Croatia this year. Also it is in the same industrial-metal mixed with pop genre that käärijä had major succes last year that is very popular around the world (Rammstein is the biggest german musical export for decades since Nena for a reason)

I'll go on record now. I'm Australian and I HATED the Australian song. After a few weeks, I was sitting down listening to Italy, and it hit me. There is a reason why Australia only made a lyric video, there is a reason why Australia may not appear at the pre parties. This is a genius move by SBS. They agreed to not show anything even hinting to staging, nothing about revamping the song.......NOTHING!. Everyone thinks the song is not great, and the visuals most definitely did not help. Like I said, it dawned on me. Australia are going to hit the stage running, creating a surprise element no-one in Europe have ever seen the likes of. Brilliant move my SBS.

@@ToyAndGoy The 'personal taste' is not a problem, that's fine. We all have right to have our personal preferences in everything. But to say that the croatian song is not in your list of qualyfiers because the refrain is 'generic rock', and then choose two of the three most generic beige songs in whole competition, cyprus and luxembourg (missing malta), is a litlle hypocritical.

I think Poland has a lot of chance, because countries such as Lithuania, Ireland, UK, Ukraine, Australia, Germany can vote for it, and a lot of Poles live there and will vote for Poland. It was similar with Bejba last year who probably took 3-4th place in her semi-final thanks to the audience.

I agree with 7 finalist. Instead Azerbaijan,Moldova,Australia , I see in final Croatia,Finland,Poland(they have Ireland,UK, Lithuania,Moldova in voting). If we had 9 from televote and one from juries (not 100 percent televote) I see EBU baby Australia instead Serbia or Portugal in final.
