Song was written AND produced by the artist himself in his bedroom. Music video was filmed and produced by his fiancée and her father. The people in the music videos are friends and family of the artist. EVERYTHING about this song is made with local talent! Even his cats appear in the music video~ and on the live performance the people on stage with him are family and friends as well! Baby Lasagna (real name Marko Purišić) is a songwriter and newly started artist who originally wrote the song as a filler for his first album. A friend heard it and liked it, and suggested that he'd submit it to Dora, the Croatian National Final. Originally he was just put as a reserve, but then another artist dropped out of Dora and he took her place. Then he instantly became a fan favorite to win. He qualified from the semi-final and then he won both jury and LANDSLIDED the televote in the final. And now he is the current favorite to win Eurovision 2024! His story is honestly quite amazing, even better if he wins it all! Would be Croatia's first win in Eurovision, it would be a return to the balkans since 2008 (and probably bringing a lot of balkan and smaller countries back to the contest). And I didn't even talk about the song itself. Style inspired by Rammstein, the song tells the story about young people from Croatia who has to leave the simpler life behind to to seek new opportunities in other countries (or moving from small towns to go to big cities). A very relatable topic for lots of people. And you guys kinda got it already from listening to the song~ also Rim Tim Tagi Dim doesn't mean anything in Croatian, but its based on the beat of the song, and its the fictional name of the dance in the music video Marko have stated. BL (Marko Purišić) was a guitarist in the rock/metal group Manntra for many years, and wrote lyrics for the German metal group Mono inc. If you're going to watch the live performance, it's his first performance as a singer. Now he is much more confident in himself 🤗 The video and stage performance were designed by his fiancee, who also appears in the video. Marko also became a favorite because of his personality, because he is very kind, honest, down-to-earth, simple and charismatic. Baby Lasagna has his own three cats...he loves them and he will miss them as much as his parents. Rim tim tagi dim is an onomatopoeia of the beat of the dance. When you listen to the beat and try to sing it...you will pronounce it as : rim.tim.tagi.dim The story goes...he has to leave his home and search for the better life elsewhere. He is preparing his farewell party and he is so anxious about all this situation, unknown future and place, sorrow about leaving his family, farm animals and his beloved cat whom he'll miss so much, This is the biggest problem of Croatia,- the exodus of youngsters due to corruption and lack of promising future for them.

Rim Tim Tagi Dim is genounly Baby L’s inventurom 😂 It probably describes the beating, exciting pulse in our body that we all have before big changes in life. You know - that something - anxiety and excitement at the same time.

It’s a national anthem for thousends and thousends of us who left our villinges behind, becouse our goverment didn’t care, and now we fight with anexity and also depression, cheers to that🍻

I Kroatia, som mange andre land, drar ungdommen fra bygda til storbyen, eller til utlandet for håp om bedre levesett. Marko har i mange år vært gitarist i Manntra, og er stort fan av Ramstein. Han kom sent inn i Eurovision, da en deltager trakk seg. Gleder meg til å kjøpe albumet ( som er klart ) når jeg kommer nedover til sommeren :D

story behind song is that young people from Croatia going from home to work in foreigner country's to make money for living, that's why he sad on start "i'm big boy now" he is old enough to go on path where lots of young was before him , and then he say i sold my cow, he make money from selling cow to have enough money to start better life in other country and buy ticket for boat to leave, he make party for his village to dance with them for last time because its best way to cover his sadness because he is leaving his loving village and loving people behind. On official video you can see him how he is going away and waiting for boat thats why end of song have melancholy piano at the end of video and thats why he have that suitcase on stage you mention on your video because he leaving away, i hope i explain you whats song is about, in short: he is leaving his village and he making last party for loving people from his village for last time....also i want to add THIS WAS HIS FIRST PERFOMANCE EVER, he made song in his badroom and now is on Eurosong and he win Dora as back up because one singer give up so iconic
