It's a song contest, not Europe's Got Talent. Loreen won because the jury is made up of people who work in the industry everyday. They pick winners, not memes.
@@sanktalucia4959 they have shown time and time again how corrupt they are, and even videos of juries not paying attention to the songs during the jury show
Yeah, its song contest about whose got the best song. 2023 would have been landslide victory to Finland, considering the televote count was in top 10 highest ever obtained in the competion's history, but because some "professionals" half of who couldnt even name 5 music genres, much less even be bothered to listen to half the entries. Whose opinion should count more, 37 borderlining incompetent "so called professionals" or tens of millions of people? Judge voting shouldnt even be thing, period. Even for meme to win, it would take tens of millions of people from over 30 countries to make it happen, what are the odds that is possible? Yeah, jackshit. Fck the judges, their music taste is half the time in classical era and anything that isnt either pop or emo is trash in their opinion. For the judge votes to exist, they should made sure to be fans of different genres, not just one to ensure their voting isnt corrupted and pointless
Brother, this is the first time in 7 years that the juries winner wins over the televoters 😂😂😂 Do your damn research before talking crap that isn’t thought through
Saw this show in Glasgow, and Lordi were just as great for my 31 year old self as they were for the 14 year old watching this happen in Eurovision. Fucking awesome, loved it.
Living in Latin America this was the first time I watched Eurovision and to this day I keep watching it. Lordi was incredible, Finland had no chill, the best entry ever! Miss the old days when there was only televote :(
Fan fact: The person who was about to hand them the award did not show up on stage because he got terrified from their appearance. He used the excuse of consoling Anna Vissi who was represented Greece back in the day for getting the 7th place in the competition
I just got this in my RU-vid recommendations today. Not saying my relentless viewing of everything related to Finland THIS year has anything to do with it, but I'd like to think it's a good omen!
I cannot forget this precious moment for getting me a new chance to meet Hard Rock. I was only 8 years old. This band was spoken on the TV all the week.
@@forturet4115 tell me 3 times in the last 10 years that the peoples song didnt win. Cause i cannot remember any. Its always been close in televotes for the runnerup and winner
@@forturet4115 the only years i for sure dont know if they were close televotes are 2011, 2016 cause those songs were so boring i didnt pay much attention
It changed when the semifinals were introduced. Imagine how long the points announcement would be if they read off all the points a particular country's votes for 40+ countries, hours.
There was no intrigue in these past contests. Halfway of the voting you could already know who's going to win. I like the new votes announcement where the winner is unknown until the very end.
I knew that Finland would win. I remember how shocked europe was about Lordi and said that they're presence was so wrong for this contest. But that is what i liked because Finland didn't care and tried to break the good, clean and brave behavior of the eurovision. And they did it well
This video is just one of the funniest things to ever come to life. The fact that they don't speak, don't smile, you can't see their expression behind the masks... The flower bouquet, the shout "aaaaahhhh" while showing the trophy, the presenters looking so out of place... "We kissed the monsters and we turned our faces dirty now"... What a cool moment of TV! That night was really the arockalypse!
I loved hard rock back then, and hated the eurovision, but My family is scandinavian, and they ofc always Watches the eurovision. So there I was, locked up in My room, playing video games. Suddenly, My mom kicks in the door and tells me to go watch the tv in our living room with her, a band of monsters is about to play. Even thought I thought she was full of shit, I went in. Missed the start, but came in watching while lordi was playing. And oh my, this was fucking awesome! I remember beggin My mom to vote on them, wrote to All My friends they gotta watch this shit. I hoped they win so much, just to watch them one more time. And when she came to My room telling me lordi was about to win, i just had to see the final votes with My own eyes. I'll never forget that night, and me and My friends bought the lordi album and were instant fans after that. What a time to be Alive!
The true believers, thou shalt be saved Brothers and sisters, keep strong in the faith On the day of rockening, it's who dares, wins You will see the jokers soon'll be the new kings - present days
So? It requires much willpower and determination to keep in character for so long. The fact that they created characters for themselves and they apper publicly onluy them is so orignal and fascinating. So stop shitting into your own nest.
What that disgusting and stinking winning song ?. Go and tell eurovision organizers to stop organizing contests, cause eurovision kept away from idealism, sublime virtues and constant quality
everyone, everybody, everyworld, all people, were happy with this winner, along with 2008 winner I think they are the best winners in Eurovision history
