This is absolutely a fantastic song! Probably one of the best downtempo songs I've heard in my entire life!! The deep bass synth line in the chorus is fucking amazing, what a powerful sound! The lyrics, the vocal quality, the melodies and arrangements.. holy shit, I love this. Totally agree with what you saying...
3rd year in a row.... Man I’ m so proud to be Bulgarian 🇧🇬 Such a great song, text is over the top and the music is giving me chills.. hope to win this year 🎶
Why Equinox? Where did the name come from? - an interesting explanation by Borislav Milanov in interview for BNT: That wasn’t the first idea for the name - it was something connected to the Fifth Element again. To gather together the five elements with Zhana as the Fifth Element in the middle. In Equinox there is ‘equal’, i.e. ‘equality’, and ‘nox’ is night. The Equinox is the day on which the night and day are equal, when there is peace between the dark and the light, between Good and Evil. And after this day of Equinox, the days get longer. In other words this is the victory over and vanquishing of evil. Likewise, I have to say, as a believer, that Christ was conceived at the Vernal Equinox - at least according to the scriptures. There exactly is the symbolism for me personally. And then again other people, my friends professing other faiths, told me that the Vernal Equinox is a very important day in their cultures. And that’s when I had a moment when I realised that this is a day which unites the whole planet, all peoples and cultures. At the Equinox something happens in all of us and that for me is a highly powerful symbolism.
I am surprised of not accepting supporters from other countries, but this is not the first time. As far as I know, Celine Dion has also been involved years ago. Once the rules of the competition allow it, what is the problem ?? Greetings from Bulgaria :)
Jimmie Wilson from San Marino's entry last year is also American. I think there's a bunch more throughout the years. So there's no problem for Americans (and others) to take part in Eurovision, as long as they're representing a participant country. And, who knows, the interest in ESC seems to be increasing in the States, so some day they might even join, like Australia.
I guess it will be the same as last year - ok song, but live performance wow and it takes it against the odds.. I mean 2017. I was really set for a cigarette break when they said Bulgaria, but then the guy started singing... So I stayed LOL Good luck from Israel :)
ShunketsuXZ No no trust me you got me wrong :) just studio version sounded like Kristian voice is technically manipulated, so I thought live will be dissapointing... But it was quite the contrary :)
Thanks to Symphonix international I was allowed to remix this song - if you would like to listen to a different version: soundcloud.com/g_k_music/equinox-bones-george-knight-remix
I went to school and graduated with Trey Campbell. We sang together back in the day, yet ny voice was nowhere compared to him! We went to Bessemer City here in NC
It's a good song, but as you like having an Americans in it, I regret that Bulgaria is sending an international production that is mainly written and produced by Swedes and Americans. It's a bit against the original idea of the contest: introducing national popular music to people all over the continent... It's getting time for Belgium... or my guilty pleasure Slovenia?
D V That's not true. The song is predominantly produced by Borislav Milanov, who is Bulgarian, 3 out of the 5 singers, including the woman, are Bulgarians and the song ends with a motive from a traditional Bulgarian song, so it's pretty much Bulgarian in collaboration with some foreigners
Again, I could not connect with Bulgaria - although it is not the worst, by far, - it is also quite mandane for me. I see nothing special here, and I do not think I will put it on my playlist, sadly. But good luck to them anyway.
