Fun fact - although the video shows three back up singers, all the backing vocals are actually Annie. With the exception of the Revenge album she did most of the backing vocals on all their tracks as well as during her solo career.
I spent much of the 80's in college, and it was filled with great music. Annie Lennox captivated us with her voice and her attitude. When she went solo and grew older, she got even better.
Annie Lennox has a very powerful voice. The Eurythmics had a lot of great hits in the 80's-90's such as "Sweet Dreams", "Who's That Girl?", "Right By Your Side", "Here Comes The Rain Again", "It's Alright (Baby's Coming Back)", "Love Is A Stranger", "Missionary Man" etc. Annie has had a great solo career too with many hits.
Eurythmics Fun Fact: during the "backstage intro" when Dave Stewart tells Annie just "Be Yourself Tonight" he was actually dropping the name of that album! BYT marked a musical evolution for the band, dropping their original all synth sound to incorporate a more 60s R&B sound by bringing in a full horn section and real drums.
