Wondering if maybe there was an update for picking charging stops on the longer trip automatically? Or still abrp would be a solution for optimal trip planning?
How would one program a round trip starting from Home, arriving at one's destination, and ending at Home with all necessary charging stops after one has filtered for Electrify America chargers?
you'd have to use the individual trip computer... by resetting your individual trip you'll be able to track through various options... just because otherwise you'd only have "at the start of trip" "since last charge"or "since factory"
Great video. Just to be sure, can you verify with i4 (when connectivity is solved) that it has this feature? BMW is known to do this kind of shenanigans where they disable some features on some of the models. I guess is the (old legacy automakers) European way of thinking and forcing people in to buying specific model. Example would be that new i7 has RU-vid option, while i4 and ix can only dream of that feature, even though they have the same OS 8 :) I really hope that dog and camp mode from Tesla could find a way to BMW :) You have any info about that BMW is thinking about implementing something like this? Great video :)
@@AZBlueVeg I like being wrong about that. Being member of several BMW i4 forums I must say that nobody mentioned or spotted any info from BMW regarding RU-vid app in ix or i4. Also no google search results about that.
@@borkophil6948 I saw a RU-vid review of the i7 where the reviewer mentioned the RU-vid app and was told by the BMW representative that it would be made available to all iDrive 8 platform cars. I don't remember the name of the reviewer, sorry.

Best guess would be they premiere the major video apps on the i7 then software update it as a Christmas present to other iDrive 8 cars, my curiosity would be if that Carie’s to the ID8 ICE cars too or if they’re keeping it exclusively EV and 7 series based. Best guess would be all cars will get it though…
