Are you having difficulty properly calibrating your EV3 Color sensors? This is the unique method my team uses, and it's very easy and effective.
Here's the EV3 Project file, as well as the EULA and readme.

Great vid, really helpful, we also found accuracy was improved by putting a guard around the sensors to stop light from outside effecting the readings

Keen observation! We also made our guards black and scratched up the insides so they would reflect as little light as possible.

Hi, how do I calibrate same color sensor to detect 4 different colors and detect them during Robot runs, thanks!

Unfortunately, you can't calibrate the color sensing without 3rd party firmware that is illegal in FLL. However, you can use the built-in color sensor blocks in the same program as my custom blocks and the sensor will automatically switch modes as needed. Since the color sensor blocks just return a number (1 - 7 IIRC) for the color rather than a range of intensity, they tend to be pretty accurate even though you can't calibrate them.

Can you make a video that uses a light sensor to scan an area and goes forward then turns right 180° goes forward again and turns left 180° (scanning motion) and repeats until it finds the color green to where it stops.

I am definitely interested in more details. Also, how do I download the program into google then into the ev3 programming? I am in EV3 programming and trying to figure out how to upload a file and I can't.

When you click the link in the description, it will bring you to the page where you can download the software in a ZIP file. Look for the download button in the upper right corner. Once you've downloaded the ZIP, right click it and select Extract All. Finally, double-click the .ev3 file and it should open up in the EV3 software.

There are lots of different line following programs, but most likely yes! You will just have to replace yellow light sensor blocks with the teal custom light sensor blocks.

The link to the file is in the description, be sure to click show more. Also, you need to create all your programs within the downloaded file, rather than making a separate EV3 file for each run.

If you've already downloaded the program, you've gotten past the show more button. That's just a button on youtube to let you see the whole description. I note that you have labeled the programs as copyrighted. I would like to use the ideas I see in this program with my programing class. I would also like to show it to my FLL team so that they can apply the ideas to their robot. Do I have your permission to do this? It's a clever program and I think that my students would really enjoy the ideas involved.

Yes, I encourage you to do so! I posted this video in the hopes that it would help many teams do well in FLL, and help people better understand the robot and the programming. Feel free to use and modify the program however you want to. The copyright is there so that people can't take the program and claim it as their own work, because I may want to use this for other projects in the future, or at the very least on my resume.
