Hi Layla! Holy cow that’s cool! Thank you so much. I started out just wanting to lay low - not on any social media - just lettin' it do it’s own thing in it’s own time I guess. Not gonna lie though, I’m really digging it now and I’d like to see it blow up! Thanks again!

@@BlackSheepProps No Need to thank me! I know how much work all of this is and i tried to break through on social media with drawing and i wouldnt say i am bad but i gave up, but often you just need so much luck or money or perfection… Your Videos are so helpful and done with a ton of skills, it will blow up i am sure!:D I have a full armor costume done without heat gun, Dremel and others Things and i really want to give it more details and make it smoother and more realistic in general so i really should invest in some of the tools you suggested..

Once again thanks for the kind words! And concerning the tools, as you begin adding them to your arsenal you wonder how you ever built without them. Rock on and have fun!

Just found the channel and man I have to say that this is a life saver! I've got in my mind that I need a full Praetor Suit cosplay and everyone seems to use EVA foam (ambitious I know, especially for someone who's never worked with the stuff before) Huge thanks for the info, I'm definitely gonna [need to] utilize this channel to its max to help me in my endeavors

In the event we can't find a glue pot or contact cement, would gorilla glue work as well? I'm going to attempt to make the viking helmet you made, and remember you scraping off bits of super glue with a strip of foam similar to how you were pasting the contact cement on the shell of the helmet.

Hi! I think you can get contact cement almost anywhere. And most come with a small brush inside the can or bottle, so it isn’t mandatory to have a glue pot - but it sure helps to make applying contact cement easier. I have never used gorilla glue on foam so I am not sure if it ill work. I think you are refering to wiping the extra super glue off with a small piece of extra foam - I always keep extra small triangle shaped pieces around so I can use them to wipe off any extra super glue that squeezes out. Make sure you watch the viking helmet build videos, it shows every step in the build.

I'm working on a BA fashion project and I have been binge watching all sorts of beginner videos. This is by far the most useful when it comes to a list of tools I will need! BTW, how often, on average, do you need to change the blades on the knife?

Hey Double R! Thanks for the kind words! Glad the videos help. Foam kills blades FAST. The box cutter blade needs to be sharpened regularly. All of a sudden you will notice it doesn’t go through your foam like butter and as soon as you notice you gotta get out the sharpener and get it sharp again. Xacto blades get dull even quicker, I keep a box of 100 #11s on hand. Can’t have enough xacto blades. And totally get a sharpener if you will be using a box cutter. It makes a single blade last a long time. Just a few strokes on the sharpener and it’s razor sharp again. Thanks again! And enjoy all the other videos on the home page!

Where do you find the longer Dremel drum sander bits that I see you use in your videos? I have a bunch, but they're only about 1/2" to 5/8" long (drum part). Yours look longer than that.

Hi John, I found this really cool bit made by dremel - it’s called a Chainsaw Sharpening Stone. It’s bit number #454. I think that’s the one you’re referring to. Once I found it, I never went back to the standard one.
