There is something really mesmerising in that video (also in the song). It makes my heart beat fast, my breath stop. It fills me with something.. very, very wonderful.
14 years after Eva's conversion to Christianity in 1993, rumors had it that Eva began drifting away from her faith. In a Summer 2007 issue of Deathrock magazine, author Philip Henken wrote in the article "The Story of O" about Eva that "when I ask her about the Christian conversions, she tells me she's left being born-again behind."
The "spookykids" comment is funny - because it's dumb. This video predates that genre by at least 5 years, back when the music was just goth and deathrock. No bloody "spookykids", emos, screamos or whatever else gets mistaken as goth and deathrock today. Demons Fall for an Angel's Kiss is not Eva's best work, but there are so few videos of her that I'm happy to see any at all. If only there were some Super Heroines videos...

I'm part of today's generation, sophomore in high school, I'd be listening to this in class on my Ipod and the other kids would be listening to rap, and they heard my music and this dude said to me, are you emo or gothic or some thing? You're weird. My exact words was: Thank you, better weird than normal and brainwashed by the crap you listen to, second I am what I am-a goth, NOT emo, do you even know the difference? Eva O makes me proud to be goth.
The guy in this video looks like one of my exes that I dated back in Florida, Tim something or another, lol. I think I blacked out his last name, lol. He so wanted to be Brandon Lee in the film, "The Crow," but sadly, he paled in comparison. :) And I fancied myself to resemble Eva O, ;) good times
