I would prefer less commentary and just enjoy the dance !

This is a beautiful choreography. I saw Riverdance The Show live back when and I would not have expected it on ice. But the nod to the Irish dancing worked really well and the performance was amazing. As for the fall, well, crap happens, and any performer who manages to just go on and keep shining has all of my respect.

I was expecting the original river dance music. The danced beautifully.

Who cares about points, that was a wonderful performance that I really enjoyed! People enjoyed it, that's what matters. Loved their performance!

Those commentators blathering about all the mistakes, but all I could see was a highly skilled, in sync couple skate dancing to an Irish tune, and doing a fantastic job of it. Wonderful to watch, and I enjoyed every minute of it!

I'm partial to Irish dance so I knew I'd love this, but I had no idea how much. Wow! I was smiling throughout that entire performance! 😊

I haven't watched skating in years. These two are marvelous. Can't imagine anyone doing these moves in shoes, much, much less SKATES!!

For those who have been around for awhile, you may remember Bourne and Kratz version of Riverdance. They worked a well known professional Irish dancer to work out character moves on ice. This was the time of the Block Judging scandal, so was generally unrecognized. Would have been nice to have seen a bit more in this dance. Otherwise was lovely

I love this program because this had actual performance within it. I vividly remember the first time I ever heard this music was in 1998 when Shae-Lynn Bourne and Viktor Kraatz used it in their free dance and Dick Button commented how much more difficult it is to perform to Riverdance on ice compared to other dance genres due to the up and down of the steps which makes complete sense when considering most moves are performed on an edge and/or arc across the ice. Well done!

Impressed with how they held it together despite a problematic performance. Bad performances will happen sometimes. This couple demonstrated they are able to rise above it.

I wish the judges wouldn’t focus solely on the things the contestants did wrong 😔 like to see a judge out there performing the same moves. I thought they did a beautiful job x

I'm such a fan of Ice Dancing and with Irish roots was keen to see you both, as I've never seen you before. WOW. You make it look effortless. I'm so sorry about the fall but that didn't detract from the absolute brilliance, deftness and might I add I've NEVER yet seen an attempt to do Irish Stepping on ice. Even on a floor it is most difficult. Add in the audience clapping which isn't synchronized, and the extremely fast pace of the music and your effortless yet supremely athletic moves, just please carry that on. You will be the only Ice Dancers doing that. It really was something I've never before seen, and I've been watching figure skating for decades.

Now I really know what, “My heart just sank,” really means. When she fell, I was crushed.

No couple seem to replicate the magic of torville and deane, i wonder if it was the syncronicity between their bodies,, jane was shorter than most, but obviously had terrific muscle strength in her small body, yet they made it look so effortless. Other couples , you can see how clever it is,,, but you can never get past that. torville and deane were above all DANCERS.

As you say, not the performance they were looking for, but absolutely beautiful!
