Jasper National Park Pine Bungalows CEO Vicki Korogonas says it took 7 hours to evacuate on the highway that would usually take 45 minutes.

Dear Canadians, I saw and heard about a wildfire in Jasper park. Your country is very very beautiful. There are wonderful national parks,lakes and amazing places in Canada. Canada is a treasure on the wordl. I wish you to succeed in controlling the forest fires. It is a tragedy to lose your own houses. I feel for you, I know how it feels to lose a house. Despite what she's gone through, she looks calm and collected. She sounds clear and organized in her thoughts. Very likeable too. Someone should hire her as a Correspondent. Plus kudos to the production team for finding her

How is Hinton? We stayed in Hinton about 6 years ago... Loved the Beaver boardwalk....... Jasper looked like a tinder box back then....... Lots of dead trees....

Why? Ev will drive longer under these bumper to bumper evacuations. Most cars will run out of gas idling like this.

The rich have no qualms. Those paycheque to paycheque or hit the tent and lose everything are out there. You don't hear their despair though. Something like this would throw a huge wrench into their life.
