Honestly i have zero connection with any of my professors. Im having a hard time to convince myself to get their recommendation.

@@max-3158 professor don't mind giving LOR even if you don't have good relations. Only if you have a really terrible fight, it might be hard. And even in that case, you will get it after some convincing.

@@nandi7772 i didn't have any fights but I was irregular to classes. I was hardly noticeable to them and i have bad academics too. I can't bring myself to write all these fake acclaims about myself and go to them for signatures.

"Right from the word go" or "from the get go" sound very informal for a professor's letter of recommendation.

I too agree that the lor which was evaluated stands low on scale. Then it is better if you post an LoR which stands high may be 7 or 8 on scale

No professor worth their salt and concerned about academic integrity would let a student write his/her LOR. These type of practices won't get you into top colleges (atleast with funding, if you are willing to be their cash cow they don't have a problem admitting you )as people on the committe have been doing this for years and can spot in a moment a LOR which is written by the candidate. There is a reason as to why while submitting the LOR there is an option to apply for a confidentiality waiver but with the permission of the letter writer. If you are beginning your career on academic forgery, it says volumes about you as a student. As a youtuber with this much influence, you should discourage these activities instead of blatantly encouraging them. P.S- If your professor is allowing you to write your own letter, most probably they know that they don't have enough reputation in the research community to care for. So anycase their letterhead won't carry any significant value.

Most of the time the students are not even allowed to see the LOR. The professor should submit it directly to the admission system

@@valerianmp my professors are lazy ,they will not put any effort to write a good lor and during this pandemic how will I know what gramatical mistakes he have done.
