What about if you are working into a private home as a nurse how do you write a hand over shift note as a nurse, that note should be different from a hospital note or a clinic
Hi violet,my patient was in surgical assessment unit for salphyngectomy but l got planning for post operative care so for evaluation do l need to say everything from the time of assessment example the pain constipation, anxiety these all my patient had before she gone for surgery.
Hi everyone, I took my osce yesterday this is the result today (You were successful in 9 out of 10 stations. Well done for passing these stations.) Unfortunately I failed in Evaluation as I studied on how to pass this station through WRITING which is not. meaning of 8 minutes is you talk to your assessor like you do handover to a staff. She reminded me I got only 2 minutes left and that I should talk to her which wasn’t enough. Nevertheless Thank you Violet for your videos, I was able to pass the 9 stations…will do resit Evaluation though 😭

@@ogboiviolet83 Thank you Violet, I been watching your video, it really helps for those who self study like ne. Unfortunately I thought the Evaluation is a Silent area with 15 minutes but yesterday it was only 8 minutes and you do the handover to the Assessor.
@@kristine8717 You studied for the legacy osce instead of the new one. I'm sorry for that. But you did so well! You passed 9 stations out of 10! Congrats!!! Have you resit already? How was it? It's the same scenario, isn't it? I'm also self-studying and I don't think I'll pass first attempt. I have accepted it but I'm so worried I won't be able to resit before my application expire, as I'm doing the legacy one and most slots available are for the new version now.
@@patriciaf.v.8889 I have resit already and I have my PIN now. I failed in Evaluation as I did the legacy but I had the same scenario. You will surely make it, but you’re right, the slots available was almost taken and so I resit/waited almost over a month.

I know you check observation once on assessment, so for evaluation when are we to check the recent observations again or will it be included in the scenario for evaluation???

@@ogboiviolet83 thanks for your video on evaluation of APIE station it's indeed simplified! 👍please i would love to ask this question, although patient presents with constipation in the background of appendicitis, having done ultrasound scan and confirmed, are you supposed to give laxatives knowing that there's an increase risk of rupture? I would recommend urgent surgery, in the meantime she should be on Npo, antibiotics and analgesic because it's been confirmed otherwise no because it could mask the symptom making the diagnosis difficult. My opinion Please i stand to be corrected. I'm so subscribing to your channel cos I'm blown away with you teaching method. I perfectly understand evaluation in just few minutes. Thanks so very much.
Please where do we find the date of admission? Also when talking about medication do we list the medications on the MAR sheet or will it be written out for us on the evaluation history?
