although he didn't stay with the Atlanta for long, he will ALWAYS be one of my favorites Braves players......and, SUCH a great story to boot......i hope he's happy and doing well....
I've watched this video like 10x. What amazes me is how every home run or hit came with either 2 outs or put us in the lead deep in the game. It's almost every highlight too, that's what you call clutch. This guy is amazing and you can see why the Braves let McCann walk.
Without a 20mph wind blowing in that day, Gattis has 3 homers totaling over 1300 feet. Hamels tried a first pitch curve at 1:16, and Gattis was looking for it. Beautiful
I remember listening to the hype on Evan and telling a friend while watching his first at bat that they say this guy has got some pop and POP.Thanks for the short time you were hear it was fun to watch.
Gattis has had several clutch hits in his short career. Seems mentally strong in key situations. He is not like many sluggers who seem to only hit home runs when it does not matter.
Huge braves fan Still one of my favorite players Outstanding story and just a great ball player Dreams still come true Wish ESPN would do a 30/30 on him Tomahawk chop Gattis
Hey Greg, this helps me feel better. Give it a try. My favorites are, of course the beginning, 5:34 playing on the road but listen to the crowd when he hits it and 6:17 the 489 foot monster (longest one in the majors last season). That ball hit the blonde headed lady or it would have gone further.
Man do I miss Evan Gattis! Sure he was injury prone, but man was he clutch! I think the Braves will regret trading him, but I understand. Those Braves teams from 2012-2014 sure could be anemic on offense, but they were a lot of fun to watch and boy did they have heart!
bomb @ 5:33..believe me..you have to bomb it to get it out of Petco Park..no cheap HRs there...air is heavy and the ball just does not carry very well at all...
@@benjaminmahesh2451 eh, he was pretty good fr. Look at his stats. He had a pretty good batting average. Now was he the best ever? By far, no. But he was good
You can't really say that Gattis is better the B-Mac. However, Gattis is a great player, and fun to watch. But B-Mac was fun to watch as well in his Prime.
Michael Graff look at gattis this year though.....doing hell of a lot better than bmac. if gattis keeps improving you could say gattis is a better hitter but i agree bmac in his prime was insanely fun to watch
