The Vargas Dynasty went 3-0 on Saturday, May 14 LIVE at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, while the Pulev brothers split their fights and Evan Holyfield was on the losing end of a surprising knockout.
McDonald landed a stiff right hand late in round 2 to score a stunning knockout victory over Holyfield, who was previously undefeated.
The ref counted to eight before deciding to stop the fight, which really upset Holyfield. But the commentators all agreed that the ref made the right move putting an end to the fight.

Let’s be honest: that referee was counting rather quickly. I’m sure that even if Holyfield got up he would still lose the fight, but the count…I don’t know….

Quickly? Not at all 😂 the count should have been at 5 when he started. The ref did all he could to keep Holyfield in the fight. Believe me, he was supposed to beat the electrician

If you watch careful, Evan was still in pain after a body shot on his left rib at 6.25s, that is why he kinda of ganging his left gand low... that gave an opportunity for another head punch which was hard recover from it quickly... great techniques....

most of the time Holyfield throw weak jab and then straight/right hook afterward. so simple for it took only 1 round for Mcdonald to get used to it. Plus Holyfiled defence was not in professional level that night

Because he's just not on that level. Boxing is a poor man's sport. Fighters fight because they have to and have it in them. This is why you're seeing all of these kids of legends stepping into the ring and failing. You can't be hungry when you've been raised in wealth. These kids are just using their surnames to get to places they've no business being.

Good count. From his face hit the deck, to the refs wave-off, it took exactly 10 seconds. And the way he faced the floor, mouth first, showed him being out. He kissed the floor a long time before beginning to clear up. Of course it's hard to take his first loss, by KO, when he was set up to win. But hopefully a loss like this will make him come back stronger, if he uses it as a learning experience.
