As much of a monster and later cartoon character as Hoyt became, let's remember that his first order of business when he got to Oz was bringing out the absolute best in everyone. He read Rebadow's mother's letter and got everyone to band together so they could send his dying grandson to Sea World. Even Adebisi called bullsh*t on Wangler's suggestion to steal the money. Sometime's it's good to be human.
Yeah probably a much better human than that sly O'reilly who often played the prisoners like puppets pitting them against one another so he could benefit.
Im telling u man, the way they show the photo right after Hoyt Killed Kirk, was really fucking awesome !!!! .... I have that picture framed and I love it jajaja
@@Shaythe Since he asked when the magazine was gonna be relased !!!! ... he was so fucking happy he was gonna make it to see it 🤣 ... you just can't hate Keller 🤷♂️
Elaine Burk I like how they marketed Oz at the time as a “real life look into the American prison system” when even a Boy Scout could tell that there’s no way in hell there’s any truth or realism to this show lol I do like the storyline so it’s good entertainment, but the producers were smoking copious amounts of crack if they thought they were fooling anybody
JP 1991, lol I actually used to think " Whatever Tom Fontana is smoking this week,I want some"!. Oz had such a strange mix of some remarkable character development and amazing acting, combined with complete lunacy! Someone said "Watching Oz is like slowly going insane!". This storyline, the aging pill, the glass smashing by small chair which injured Shillinger and most of all,the ludicrous number of deaths which went uninvestigated really was too much! Especially when a civilian CHILD was murdered on orders from behind bars (Toby's son Gary) ...that would be a national scandal, and also by insisting Chris admit Metzker was was in on the arm/leg breaking then whacking Metzker, Toby announced himself as the the killer. Metzker was a CO with, presumably family on the outside....That said I will always love Oz for the characters, the laughs, the complete lack of political correctness, the acting, and even the occasional tears.😢 I am glad a new generation is discovering it, and Fontana did do an incredible job writing much of it entirely alone.👏 It says something that we're still discussing it 20 years on😂. Long live Oz, you batshit crazy, head full of crack show🤗
i thought this was supposed to be a good show but watching this makes me want to never give it a try lol... no offense evan, it's not you, it's the writing!
@@321douchefaceUntil the 4th Season you can see like a really good and writed show. But sometimes you have to understand that Oz is not supposed to be a real life prision kinda documentary. But after the 4th Season you guys Right.
@@tm100pct7... basically the show became too realistic...that's what prison is .. a bunch of straight dudes doing loads gay stuff while maintaining that they are straight ....they all have prison wives
@@geegarcia7858 Jericho was Cyril’s personality before he got brain damage, look up the scene where he was in the hospital talking to the “real” Cyril, he has the same voice and personality as jericho
Mukada: I'm not going to look over my shoulder, I'm not going to look over my shoulder, I'm not going to look over my shoulder, looks over his shoulder.
Patrick Bateman He isn't nazi skinhead in the show, his group of bikers are just allies with nazis but they dont share their beliefs ... Zito is good in Sons of Anarchy
What does practicing it have to do with anything lmao!! Maybe he's not religious but he's still a Jew from Brooklyn by blood with s Star of David tattoo
The other irony of Evan's bad singing is that he was the lead singer/rapper of the hardcore band Biohazard, he intentionally sang bad in that variety show clip.
Always felt like a character they didn’t really know what to do with. Never fully got into it when they’d focus on Hoyt for some reason. Also, crazy stupid to put Hoyt and Kirk side by side with such minimal security for that photo shoot considering he already tried to kill him and had made threats the whole time. 🤦🏻♂️
Peter Steele of the mighty Type O Negative is also in this show for 1 episode.where he grabs Alvarez & says Merry Christmas motherfucker . Pete & Evan were both good friends & toured together,Pete gave em the idea for the name Biohazard
Thanks a lot man, I've always thought that it was weird that this Aryan Brotherhood member had super long hair, since all the others we'd seen in previous seasons either shaved their head or had short hair, and didn't look like heavy metal fans. Except for Axel Thor, the blond nazi that we only seen once when Vernon Schillinger manages to get Beecher's protege, the college kid who raped a chick with his friend, Franklin IIRC? into his prison wing, greets him by epic bitch-slap and 2 aryans goons grab and drag him kicking and screaming into that rape closet; the blond one with long hair and the bandana (his only scene) is an authentic hells angels, nicknamed Axel Thor. and since he is an authentic white supremacist he didn't stay long...
I feel so bad for laughing at the last scene 😂 I mean I know he’s afraid and I would be too, but his crying just cracks me up lol Oh well. His hotness makes up for it 😍😘❤️
Bahahaha did it ? This must be the corniest thing I’ve ever watched on television. And this dudes performance is right up there Johnny’s from “The Room”. Clown
I like to think Evan Seinfeld, in the music video for “Judgment Night” was on his way to Oz and shaved his dome somewhere along the way. Anyone that hasn’t heard that cut is missing screws. He was also friends with Peter Steele. According to Steele, they used to like to cruise up and down lower Manhattan with a chain linked to Steele’s souped-up ride and yank the doors off of abandoned cars. Ah, youth before the internet.
The kid reminds me of young Augustus Caesar. Pitting older more powerful characters against each other. Except Caesar went on to rule, while this kid gets justice.
I got the pleasure of meeting Evan Steinfeld and his now ex wife Tera Patrick, she was signing autographs at an adult store they were so nice Wish I still had her autograph.
In medieval times, they just executed criminals after a short trial. Say what you will about the medieval period, but they saved themselves a whole lot of trouble not bothering with this prison business
I hate when ever a fight jumps off and people start crowding around yelling and cheering, total opposite of how it really is. Nobody is gonna blow up the spot when work is being put in. And yes to everyone who replies yes I’ve been in prison and also I didn’t get raped, if that’s your first thought you that comes across your mind you haven’t been locked up. Ask anyone who has done time, Not that that shit doesn’t happen but it’s not like tv or movies.
I did 13 months in prison and it was actually fun and all we did was laugh and talk about poon tang and play pranks on eachother and play lots of spades and hearts. Never was I even in one argument let alone a fight while in prison. I did a lot of pushups and curls with my waterbag though.
So like 6 death row inmates out of their cell, with men and women civilians and just one guard to watch over them all... A guard that's easily knocked unconscious. lol Hoyt threw a straight jab and dude was out.
I worked in a prison where human rights violators were serving life and exactly the same thing happened to them, many nightmares, and hallucinations of those who killed them.
As bizarre as all this stuff looks, it is all true. I did seven years in maximum prison with lifers and there is almost an episode every day or at least when you in and out the hole
