The songs fit the three women who revieved the Nobel Prize that were in attendance. Sooo glad Amy is doing the original EP style version of BMTL she does not need the male vocals to make the song stronger! Amazing live..jsut saw them a few weeks ago - best concert ever!
To clarify why they played what they played and so on: I got to hang out with terry before that show, and they got booked to perform four songs, but when they showed up in Norway, they were told they were cut down to only two songs, and they had to choose two new songs appropriate for the show. In Terry's quote "We got told the songs were not appropriate for the event, like why the fuck did they book us? Didn't they bother to look into our music before dragging us over here?" The whole band was pretty stressed out, and they had to prepare for the show all day, to be ready for that night.
+Fredrik Ask Never knew that part. I remember live streaming it that day, and their facebook page was all filled with posts about how excited and grateful they were to be there (which I'm I'm sure they were, but seems like that was only part of the story). Do you remember what the other songs were supposed to be? Still I love their performances from this event. She looked so relieved that she managed to pull off "Lost in Paradise," haha.
Fredrik Ask this is the part of being a band that people don't see and realise - it's not easy performing on demand like this. This band needs way more recognition than they get because what they do is not easy at all.
Fredrik Ask that makes sense coz when I saw they were performing for the Nobel peace prize it seemed like an unusual event that evanescence would usually perform at.
Simplemente ella es la mejor, que no ven? canta genial, es hermosa, su voz es ... es... es que no hay palabras para describir lo que ella es. SIMPLEMENTE GENIAL HERMOSA BELLA.
It was a really good performance of BMTL, probably their best one ever...but I wish they performed something else. I guess their music catalog really doesn't have much appropriate choices for an event like the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
Much of Amy's songwriting is about very serious subject matters, like death, mental illness, suicide, drugs, isolation, crime, or a bad breakup up like Call Me When You're Sober, so barring a song like My Immortal, which is too ballad-y, Bring Me to Life was probably the safest and least eerie-sounding song (they'd released by then) among their most well-known to perform at such an event.
@thedeadunborn Well, it's an audience of prominent people in politics and diplomacy from all around the world, not Ev's typical fans. Of course they're not going to jump and shriek. And it's a Nobel concert for crying out loud.
People who wanted that terrible rap crap male voice in it. Amy was right. It didn't need it. Sad she gave in and did it. I'd have told them I'll take my record else where and do it.
@Etiros "Oh some one its making bad comments about my favorite band im gonna defend them" , they need urgently need to change that crappy old fashioned style, cm on dark make up? bad fantasy dresses? im not 16 again to believe all that ridiculous trademark, they reach a level that when just the fans knows what are they doing, just like chemical romance or stuff like that. period.
thunderdragon517 Paul McCoy , he's not there and not a band member , ull never she him with evanesence he jst done his part in the original bring me to life
This is how the song was meant to be. Amy didn't want Paul's part but the record label insisted on it. So Amy wrote Paul's part as an after thought. They play it live like this now, the way Amy always wanted it.
@@ctyreman11 I like the way they’ve been playing it since 2017 I believe, Amy holds the “among the dark” note for a while and then she goes and sings both Paul’s and her part, it’s pretty exciting.
@Etiros Bring me to life?really ? Super new? super fresh? i hate that ugly dress and amys voice its pretty overrated, they did just one good album, the first one, that all be a man and recognize it,
