garvit sharma desert cooler work on the exact same process as this does ... i.e it sucks air from the surroundings through an exhaust fan and throws it by making it cool using the water which falls on those haypads/honeycomb pads... which I find is exactly the same.😊

Lights! Cool Buttons and displays! And now coming up....Bluetooth for your Phone! Coming up in CRAP-FUNDING so you can PAY MORE! Another way to disguise something that is mostly mediocre at best. Don't pay that much for this, there are others like the Arctic Air Ultra at around $40 (new! improved! better FAN!).....Better yet, you can build your own if you want/need to as per the many DIY videos. But again, be aware......In humid Florida this is a waste.....In dessert-like Arizona/Nevada area climate it may be better.

Hi Mr. Mobile - last year my office was so hot - I actually made a home made swamp cooler - with a foam box, small fan, and pvc elbow for air flow. I would fill with ice packs, etc. It helped - but wasn't great - but - my workplace saw it and they felt bad and they got the air fixed. So - I guess it worked in some way. Love your videos!

I am super disappointed at Evapolar. I live in Brazil, I have been receiving all types of ads from Evapolar, so they do ship to Brazil. What they don't say is that it takes forever to arrive (mine took 3 months) - to arrive in the country, not to my home. Then it was held in customs for 1 month before I get a letter saying that I need to pay 60% of the price of the product in fees in order to have it released! SIXTY PERCENT!!! That's totally insane. If that's something common for imports into Brazil, it should be explicitly said to the customer before he/she makes the purchase. I am sooo frustrated and disappointed. Summer is over, and 4 months after the purchase, I still dont have my Evapolar and in order to have it I need to pay an outrageous fee?! Evapolar Evapolar Brazil I hope you can do something about this case!

replacing the water a few times a day killed it for me, and water leaking out every time I touch it.. looks cool tho but needs too much babysitting
@leonardceres9061
@leonardceres9061 4 года назад
The_To no he is right. Refilling it leaves the unit wet especially if your in a hurry. The charge runs out quicker than you think also so you wind up pretty much Just leaving it plugged in 24/7 which defeats the purpose. Also it’s a very wet-cool. So in humid conditions like summers in NJ on the second floor of a heatbox appt where is so muggy you can feel the air, it’s pretty useless. Like said. Needs more babysitting than a traditional set and forget window unit. But where you save a little money on energy you pay for with more physical work. Such is mostly true in all things in life. Anyhow just got done returning it. I only came on here to see how other people though. Seems kinda scammy to me the whole thing.

$180 for the unit and $80 a year in filters... You might as well just buy an AC. On Amazon for $230, you can get a 10,000 BTU portable AC.
@raysprof
@raysprof 7 лет назад
Physics professor here gives Mr. Mobile the thumbs up for properly referring to the energy from the light as "thermal energy" and not "heat". Of course if you used LED lights, the amount of non-visible energy generated would be noticeably less. However, I suspect LED lights of the intensity that you require may be a bit pricey. Maybe review mobile lights next?

Why would anyone want to pay $180 for a $40 product. This is a a prettier version of the "Arctic Air" an as-seen-on-TV evap cooler that looks exactly the same. And the filters are only $10 each, the same filters the evapolar use.

Mr Mobile, what I'm seeing here seems tantamount to a desert cooler here in India. Its just exactly what this box is, only like 5-6 times larger. I don't see what's so different about this one...... and thats kind of been heavily used for the past 20-30 years now here.

An evaporative cooler in a closed room is not useful. because the humidity will go up and up and the cooling will go down. Using an evaporative cooler you must take outside air and cool it down. And then you must exhaust that humidified air to the outdoors and bring in more dry air to cool. Shop for price, it is a simple machine and it doesn't need fancy lights or operating system.
