Mobile technology videos for the discerning gadget enthusiast, brought to you by Michael Fisher.
My name is Michael Fisher. I’m a writer, sailor, podcaster and recovering actor whose childhood obsession with science fiction never quite faded. A quarter-century later, the technology that I coveted as a kid - from folding-screen phones to wearable tech - is woven into the fabric of everyday life. I’ve spent the past decade reviewing this technology, and now I’ve teamed up with Future PLC to take those reviews to the next level. Welcome to MrMobile!
Can we just agre dumb or smart every phone requires a good camera it’s fucking criminal 17 years later smartphones all don’t have the same cameras and dumb
I like my pixel 7a but it's been plagued with Bluetooth problems since I bought it. It makes a sharp glitch sound every time I get a notification if anything is attached to bluetooth
Btw! Microsoft also sold all the stuff they aquired from Nokia to HMD Global. It's the same mobile phone division, haha. If you look closely, the S30+ interface used on their feature phones was the same as the one made by Microsoft back in 2014 with some modifications (until it was replaced by a rebuilt interface, which was also actually made by Microsoft too and was seen in a prototype Microsoft branded feature phone with a Metro interface. even on the 3210, you can still see the Windows Metro spinner animation lmao) also! HMD is now transitioning to making HMD branded phones, as their contract with Nokia is expiring. they're only making Nokia feature phones now, no more Nokia smartphones. funny enough, it is rumored that they're making a device inspired by the Lumia Fabula design.)
you should defenitely check out sony ericsson p990i phones. they were stylist, feature pcked and much more fun. UIQ symbian was fun to use. had so many apps to use the phone as a mouse pad, use its camera as web cam, cast pc screen onto phone.
I was so cool having it. Being able to text msg at that time. I still have my Sidekick 2 and looked at it recently. I'm trying to see if I can make it work. lol
I really really love this video I've watched it multiple times for so mnay reasons. I loved palm OS. I loved palm pre and palm phones. And i just love the way this video was done so well.
I really don't get why people harp on about updates so much. I recently bought the pro 5 after wearing th pro 3 gps for 3 years. I was happy with Wear OS 2, the watch still did everything that I bought it to do (other than Googles ridiculous attempt to push people towards the Pixel watch by forcing the removal of assistant from their competitors). Apparently the major hurdle to the Wear OS 3 update was getting it to work with the dual display. I don't think you can blame Mobvoi for holding off until they got it right. People would have bitched and complained if the roll-out was done too soon and caused issues. I have dealt with Mobvoi customer service on two occasions, low and behold you get through to a real live person right away, who I found to provide first class service on both occasions.
i been watching you since before you was doing just mr mobile always my favorite reviews to watch to this Day!!!! guess when you remember having old Nokia's and the first 2 androids you never stop wanting more!!!!
comparing Note 8 to S8 plus doesnt make any sense as Samsung targets the S8 plus to a end user while the Note 8 is targeted at productive users. it would make much more sense if you said if its worth the much higher price for it copared to the Note 5
I understand getting bored with the current form of tech that you want to chase something new but the fact is, we peaked with the form factor of our current tech. Rectangles with screens is the best way to do anything currently and trying to escape it is just chasing pipedreams until we actually do break through to a new generation of tech. That is on the horizon but we haven't crested that mountain of technical issues yet.
Gotta give mr mobile props for openly being an android user in the states( not many put there on youtube) Would luv to see a fold 5 vs S24 ultra. I no your a fold guy.

I was SOOOO excited to see Moto respect the Razr heritage and decided that as soon as they put a worthy processor and a better camera and reasonable screen brightness, I was gonna sell ALL my cheddar to buy one! Sadly, Moto blew it and now just makes mediocre Galaxy Flip clones.

The prices have skyrockted after it got discontinued. They're going for around $2K, or even $3K for the best model/color combos. Microsoft was ahead of their time, and people realized it too late (including myself). Bringing the idea back now will be a hit. I have no question.
Man I loved Palm and WebOS. I had several Pre’s, my wife had a Pre and I had a HP Touchpad that I waited outside of Best Buy for on the $99 flash sale. When WebOS went open source and picked up by LG for their TV UI I bought one of those too. By far the best phone of that time. I agree too, Sprint definitely hurt the Pre’s roll out. Didn’t know about Verizon pulling out. That would have made a huge difference.
They should really make these devices where you can upgrade them every couple of years you would be able to bring the housing they would replace the internals. Give it a faster CPU when you know more features. You could keep the same device and just upgrade it. this device is made for one purpose to make calls and maybe text too bad. We won’t be able to use it anymore.
It's unfortunate that this device is in the state it is in at launch, but this is the first review I saw that helped me see the potential of a device like this. Thank you for trying to take a more open approach to your review on this. Most reviewers were very down on it. (Perhaps understandably so)
My first impression with Velotric is not good I bought this Velotric T1 the 27th of April 2024 so many problems I change the IOT module thinking the bike will be repair still problem with pairing, the technician are not the capable. This is my first buy online e-bike and I will not do it again so disappointed. I have different E-bike at home one of them is the Creo from Specialized the other E-bike from Giant never have a problem.
No contracts, I only am willing to pay 15 bucks a month for a phone. My phone never is remembered when I go out. Mostly because I am running errands and I'm not talking to anyone when I walk out the door. Wife's not thrilled but I don't care about any of that
Wireless charging doesn't matter to me. I've owned a Pixel 6 Pro for over 2 years now and I've used wireless charging once...once. So that omission by OnePlus is by no means a deal breaker.
The fact that so many people bought the r1, is evidence that there is a demand/need for something that will do what rabbit was supposed to do. We all want a personal assistant, like Jarvis, ask it stuff, tell it to do things, and ideally eventually have its own personality, customizable voice and maybe even a talking face if you like. I know Rabbit was not supposed to do those things but it is what the final goal should be. Imagine, just telling your assistant while driving, to call the office and tell them you will be late due to traffic. and it does that using its own voice, if the Ai is smart enough it would even estimate how long it will take for you to get there by referencing gps data, speed etc. I know something like this maybe a few years away, was hoping R1 would be the first baby step in that direction.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's tired of listening to google talk about AI as they scramble to start to try and catch up to the competition after years of stagnation with everything else they've been up to.
Is there better aesthetic pleasing video narrating content creator out there than Mr. Mobile. My goodness! What a great video. Please don't ever stop making them. Great job!
