new about this game till it's beta in 2003. tried to play several times on different accounts sins 2006, but all the time i was get bored by too much waiting, mining and surching of things, or learning skills for a couple of months to simply do battle with someone... and loose. This game is WERY good, but if you have live, it will devour it all, fill it with itself. 10/10 but still unplayable for me.
I feel you, bro. I wasn't there live, but even with good earphones this really touches me. Many people consider the EVE Online music boring. But I think it is great!
Below the Asteroids and Theme from Jita are iconic musical pieces to me. I haven't even played EVE for years and they still fill me with nostalgia whenever I hear them.
I miss this game every day. You can't quite explain to people who don't know EVE what it does to you. From starting the game as a miner, and ending as a goon evading Harry Eyeball, this game will always be near and dear. A long lost love I simply have no time for in my life anymore. 2014 was my final flight. o7
I spent quite a bit of money on a set of headphones about a year ago, This might possibly be the first sound track I've listened to that has made me feel I didn't waste the money.
What Tasunke said, and some guys make a vid of a stereo system and we're supposed to be able to hear what it sound like. Now here, the entire set of overtones is missing. I will not think the soundtech did such a terrible job, it's like trying to hear the orchestra trough a pillow while standing in a corridor - and compressed to hell and beyond. I had to stop trying to listen to this - and will try to find an uncompressed version of this.
Track order: 0:16:22 - Stellar Shadows 0:25:45 - Below the Asteroids 0:29:50 - Shifting the Balance of Power 0:34:55 - Rose of Victory 0:39:12 - I Saw Your Ship 0:44:30 - All Which Was Lost Has Now Been Regained 0:49:30 - Surplus of Rare Artifacts 0:55:50 - It Ends Here 0:59:17 - Jovian Riddle 1:02:55 - Smoke From Down Below 1:07:05 - Merchants, Looters & Ghosts
Alticroo Indeed. Its definitely not a game for every occasion, it gets hard to keep on playing for long periods of time for me even though its amazing.
How many conductors* (he's not necessarily the composer) have you seen perform? He's typical. They all are emphatic. They're leaders of orchestras. It takes a lot of feeling and knowledge to be able to conduct such a group.
Same here, EVE is arguably the best balanced computer game in every way, possibility wise, design wise and soundtrack wise. Most games I play I will eventually get bored of the soundtrack and turn the music off, except EVE.
I never felt in love with any games music, but EVE! And same time, i am so much crying loosing my 5year relationship with kid, listening to this astonishing heartbreaking songs, squashing all tears out of my eyes, and in the same time giving me hope and power to withstand all that pain... i hope anybody can understand me. Thank you to all artists here, who did not know what emotions they would awake, when the read and play through their music books... Sebastian from Darmstadt. Love you so much! Thanks CCP... for lifetime
The opening of "I saw your ship" always gives me the chills. I still listen to the original soundtrack when I play EVE now. CCP, BRING BACK THE JUKEBOX!
ah 26:00 brings back so many memories roming null as a newbie, seeing how packed Jita was for the first time(2006ish) and all the people i shot and was blown up by. hell eve is more about the people you meet than anything else no other game has made me miss the players like eve. ill be back someday (wounder if Butcher Pete is still playing)
33:37 probably the most powerful, moving and epic part of the soundtrack. Gives me goosebumps and tears everytime. A tranquil force like an Erebus flying through a blob.
Got to 22 mins on my phone, realised this is worthy of full HD audiophile headphones, logged into Eve, and continued to listen whilst floating around in space wondering who the bad guy was in this story. I came to realise, it was me all along, a sentient clone, born with only one purpose, to colonise, invade, destroy, disrupt, expand, take, manipulate, dominate, eliminate and exterminate any and all that stand in my path. There is nothing to gain, there is nothing to lose, an endless journey with no destination to choose, ultimately dissipating and forever reminiscing of a greatness that never was, a dream of the unobtainable achievement of an unrealistic goal. What was it for, why did it matter, who gave me this desire, a life of coercive suffering implied by the relentless need to taste success of the cause, a never ending hunger to have more when there's always more to take. To sip from the cup of wholeness at no expense seemed too easy to be true, but it was there all along, from the moment I was born. One could say my journey was for nothing, out of nothing and into nothing, nothing was lost that wasn't gained, but that's not strictly true. Peace is acceptance of the truth, ultimately the universe will die, everything that happens here is a glimpse of what was, and what was, was brilliant, from the brightest star to the end of entropy, all that we are is burnt into time, our lives, our time here, its not for nothing, it's everything, it's all that ever was, all that ever will be and all that ever is so enjoy it, it could end at any moment. Burn as bright as you can, be all you can be, burn bright, burn even brighter, you are all the raging brilliance of the universe. When time is fully written, we will be the legacy of the stars. What will it say? I hope it says that we accepted truth and came together to do amazing things, that we found peace and created the most glorious tributes to our time, our wholeness, our one sole common ground, that ultimately, nothing matters, but we made the most of it together and did the best that we could to bring light, happiness and joy to every last corner of the universe. That we lifted each other up to the highest of highs, even with the knowledge that nothing would be left behind, that we showed if nothing else there was love in our time.
Eve online. Stain empire, Tek Enetheru, Mutafakaz, RTSQ, Br-5(mothership on alt), solo, small, middle scale and blooob fights. I was here... And i will return. NaltDi is here. After war, after Ukraine victory! Best mmo ever!
It doesn't matter who you are, what you do, what race you play, what you fly, who you work for or what you believe. We are capsuleers. We are the embodiment of the organized chaos that is our universe. We are... *EvE Online.*
We are each an army unto ourselves. We are those who have transcended mortality. We make entire worlds weak up in cold sweat each night. we have chosen our path, and walk it, alone with each other. We are demons among man. We are gods among mortals. We are Capsuleers

wow, just wow.. furthering my love for music... need to the sheet music for EvE OST so I can try my hand ... Thank CCP for sharing this AMAZING video 💜😢
Still here way down the road, giving it a watch every time it comes back up in my suggestions. All of it oh so beautiful and amazing. I really wish they would have done a professional recording too, sold it for charity picked by CCP and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. That would have been an epic launch to the 2nd decade of EVE and supporting good causes as usual. Also can we talk about Guard and how pimp he looks in a tux?
As someone who was there, at the symphony as well as when the game was starting out, the first piece really sent goosebumps down my spine. I'm still wondering whether people who haven't played EVE at all would appreciate this symphony :)
Damn, I've watched this video so many times, but only now noticed that on Stellar Shadows conductor was also playing musical instrument at the beginning.
There : 25:44 I start to cry ! And there ; 26:12 a resolute fighter smile rise up my face, 26:26 I breathe the air deep in my chest and then my nostrils open, while the smile slowly swell my cheeks with confidence, as my eyes fill with grateful and shine with a shimmering glow of connivance. 35:33 Then, I remember 49:30 Oh yes
Really nice rendition but the original soundtrack is simply a piece of art at its own level, never to be surpassed by any other game soundtrack. 'Below The Asteroids' is my favorite track from that entire soundtrack but I must say that I think this orchestra really shone at 'Merchants, Looters & Ghosts'. Amazing stuff.
This is just stunningly brilliant! John Hauller is an amazing artist, and his music is only enhanced tenfold by the beauty of this symphony! 10/10 again ccp!
i always found the game music amazing - the first time i played eve-online being greeted by the beautiful space and this music just made me in awe, it was a strange moment as it was first time i felt alone in a game even as a mmo just the sheer scale and vastness of eve jusy made me go wow................. to hear the music live though
Raziel Dark It was beautiful. I was there! I saw the 4-hardpoint Moros :-). One of the most enjoyable concerts of my life. It was fabulous hearing those songs played by a classical orchestra. I did not expect the didgeridoo at the start but I found it a spectacular find.
*I*wish!^!, MORE music in EVE, every star, every planet, every moon, every station, every solar system should have their own frequency based KEYTUNE! NO sovereignity GRANT without having composed a unique Territorial Claim Unit.Tune**EVE is MUSIC first , the OCTAVIAN abaddon laser bay, shall never remain silent! WE ARE AMARR, we do not bring only light into darkness, we spark the silence with the virtue of our lazzorchiefmasters! Multiboxers who group weapons, will never understand! Who cares; we know, that is the only important fact!
Man, this is why stick to EVE. 8 years this fall will be. Spaceships, sci-fi and fucking epic music. GJ CCP, just keep your hearts to EVE. This is your beautiful beautiful child.
Below the Asteroids is beautiful and epic, not gonna lie, but right after goes Shifting the Balance of Power which is beautiful and even more epic! Love EVE it has the best ambient sci-fi music I ever heard.
25:45 "Below the Asteroids". This song brings back good memories. Where all I had to think about was going to school and playing eve in the afternoon until evening.
Have to admit that I never listened to my EVE Symphony CD until I heard this version of It Ends Here, during an intermission on the Alliance Tournament. Didn't even recognize it from the game, until I read the title off the CD info.
0:44:30 - All Which Was Lost Has Now Been Regained, its powerful and it put a tear in my eye with memories of EVE online. 0:34:55 - Rose of Victory, I absolutely love it!!!
I'm a huge fan of EVE Online and Dust 514, and I must say that that is some of the most beautiful music EVER to be written for a video game. I thoroughly enjoyed this orchestra.
im not even half way through and already im in AWE , sheer AWE at this performance. Incredible what humans can achieve when we put our minds to it. Who would have thought a small game like EVE would grow to have so much.
I LOVE that tune. I used to listen to it over and over again while clearning entire systems of Kernite and Omber, mining for the very first privatly owned Battleship in EVE. I bought a Scorpion, took me mining 12-18 hours a day quiet a while.. but i did it. TTI delivered it. Thorax+8Harvesters and 3 friends hauling the minerals. Those were the days....
this is incredible, the first song sets the entire mood, people must see this and be inspired to play the game, just wonderful. All Which Was Lost Has Now Been Regained is simply a masterpiece of transition
I'm so happy this amazing game got a real proffesional orchestra! This music is one of the best game music on the planet! CCP is amazing! I could not imagine what would have happened if they tried to make another WoW copy instead of this awesome game! Keep on the exellent work! For another 10 years EvE...
> Looks at how people behave in EvE according to a non-capsuleer. "Nope, not a fucking chance." > Looks at how well every facet of the EvE community comes together over something so simple as a background soundtrack, and how well polar opposites can combine when you find the right corp. "...Scratch that last bit." When you play a game where you can joke with your murderer about destroying 250mil in an instant immediately afterwards, you have found a good game- Nay, a game truly worthy of being called an epic. I don't wish to quote an EvE trailer itself, but EvE is video gaming's Odyssey, and every single one of us, players, developers, trolls, bots, soldiers, miners, explorers, manufacturers, researchers, merchants... We are all our own Homer.
@@sibire8284 When you play a game where you can joke with your murderer about destroying 250mil in an instant immediately afterwards still true. My losses were not as drastic, being at..3mil. I had a lovely conversation with the guy afterwards, it was fun and that's the way you must learn in this game. There are no teachers except self, learning on your errors. The hard way here is the best way, unless you are going through lowsec, lol zkillboard.com/kill/83025055/ the actual kill from that guy
I feel so bad for saying this but I wish the people playing the violin could live up to the electronical performance on "I Saw Your Ship." It was so great, this live performance, but it just didn't fully live up my expectations... Still, such grand work. Truly.
Simply brilliant. I have good hearing and i could'nt make out when the diddgeridoo faded out... I miss playing EVE, but EVE was best in the first 5 years. With BoB gone, which was my home, there's no point playing EvE anymore.
I will happily give CCP money when they release this officially, but for now: 16:40 - Stellar Shadows 25:37 - Below the Asteroids 29:50 - Shifting the Balance of Power 34:55 - Rose of Victory 39:10 - I Saw Your Ship 44:30 - All Which Was Lost Has Now Been Regained 49:29 - Surplus of Rare Artifacts 55:52 - It Ends Here 59:16 - Jovian Riddle 1:02:56 - Smoke From Down Below 1:07:07 - Merchants, Looters & Ghosts
I think you may have misunderstood the joke staff. The joke is actually from early EVE i.e. 2003. Although CCP have really worked hard on the sounds recently, such as making the scan use it to make scanning more intuitive, back in the day, there were only a few songs on the jukebox and the sound didn't really enhance the gameplay. So once you'd heard Over the Asteroids 50 bajillion times, people tended to just turn the sound off.
