I was introdused to this method of making billions in lowsec with a shuttle farming spawns. And ofcourse it was disconnected from reality.
For actual reference, special spawns are around 1 in 100 spawns, spawns happen every 15 minutes or so, and the 100 is split over the belts in the system. 10 belts in a system thats an average of 1 special spawn in system every 2 and a bit hours (on average). special spawns can be faction, clone or mordus, with faction being most common and mordus being least. I cant get accurate stats on mordus spawns, but in 38 hours i didnt see one. clones alwas have a tag, 0.3 sec its worth 1 to 3 mil, lower sec its worth 15 to 25 mil. Factons spawns done alwasy have faction modules.

While I don't love the tone of this video, I'm glad someone is at least revisiting the topic to give an updated perspective. Some comments from the evil youtuber who posted such a "clickbait" original guide: The values were based entirely on my own experience having done the method for multiple months. I'd had a Barghest spawn twice in a day, but also nothing for several days. Such is the nature of RNG. As I thought was obvious, I wasn't running the belts 24/7. There's going to be time gaps in the original video. You glossed over the fact that the original video was posted in April 2021. A Barghest BPC was worth upwards of 1bn. Very few people were doing this, so little competition for rare spawns. Nobody was farming the NPC turrets so there was always 2 in every belt. The whole premise for the video was that a new player could get a jackpot spawn to set him up well. You seem to have missed that premise. The disconnect isn't between what was put on youtube and what is possible. The disconnect is that you're trying to use an isk farming method that has been around for years and is no longer worth bothering with for anyone already established in Eve. Perhaps you have become that which you despise, a youtuber going for views by making misleading videos to stir up controversy. My understanding was, and still is, that each Mordus spawn has an equal chance of appearing. Would be happy to be corrected if you can link the relevant info. While the method isn't as lucrative as it once was, it can still give a new player a decent isk injection. Until such a time as the method is no longer possible or beneficial to someone trying their luck early on, I'll leave it up. This was also the 4th video I ever posted, so perhaps tone down the evil youtuber rhetoric, some people just want to post helpful information in a (hopefully) enjoyable way. Fly safe o7

Yeah, it's all RNG. I got lucky in my first few attempts. Got a Clone Soldier of ~40Mil the first day, the second day got nothing, and in the 3rd day (today), got another Clone of ~40mil. Total 1 and a half hour or so = ~80 mil after taxes. A great beginning for a newbie.

thanks for the sub man. Ive loved the game for along timefor alot of different reasons. but while i dont agree with what the devs always do, i think that the main problem is in these disconnected videos. hopefully i can steer some people into the game that might have quit otherwise.

That was me in the Reaper :) When i tried this years ago it seemed to be much better ISK making activity. Seems to be less guns therefore fewer wrecks at belts.

I really love theese kind of videos that puts a sledgehammer to the bullshit disconected logic that plagues this game. Sometimes discussing with eve friends my mind melts trying to explain how it does NOT work like many youtube videos claims.

coincidentally, I started getting into this again today. I will definitely say, this is not a good activity to do for hours on end, as you stated. I have done it for maybe 40-50 ish hours total, and have only gotten one mordus spawn, the cruiser, which I manufactured (for around 150m) a handful or so clone tags (totaling around 540m ish, they are scattered around the place, may have miscounted), and 2 good faction spawns, 9 bad faction spawns (350mil ish). Total is 1 bil, and a measly 20-25 mil/hr XD. A suggestion is instead of doing it as an activity, scour the belts once when you log on and once when you log off. Only maybe 5-10 minutes, and you might get lucky to catch one, which I am now doing with an ignored alpha acc that i have. btw, love your reality check eve vids, keep it up

People always inflate how much they make, its inflated even more when they do it for yt clicks, i saw the video you mentioned, had a laugh and moved on, ive been playing eve on and off from the start and even with 4 omega accounts i have a hard time surpassing 1.5b a day or about 200 to 250m an hour, like t6 abyssals are great isk per hour, but noone tells you that you sometimes lose an 6b fit gila, 2 times in a row, or your marauder gets ganked, or your crane gets blapped at jita by 2 tornados with a weeks worth of loot inside, nope its all pure profits, yet in their next video they are broke af

"that's not how the game works" true, the sad part is that this is also not how live and reality as a whole works. very glad someone pointing out this BS. so bored of videos from people "explaining things" with 10 years old facts and zero experiences gathered by themselfs. or taking a single "lucky shot" and selling it as a regular thing. but it's just how people are i guess.

@@aloneinfinland regarding you pointing out about the missing timeframe, its the same when people say "make 100m in 10 minutes doing Homefront" .. which is true (i do this every day and sometimes i'm rocking a billion in just 3 hours or so) BUT they all fail to mention that in order to do it you ned to multibox 5 toons, and that raises your cost of playing the game from 500 to 2500 PLEX which makes 100m not that much in the bigger picture as it will take 12+ days JUST to pay for those 5 omega subs.
