Whenever I go out in eve looking for whatever I get jumped by the perfect counter with 15 friends and 100x the dps to kill me... Then there's this guy trolling around in a 1bil ship fitted for 0 dps and full sctive tank ganked by what looks like bugged NPC's.
That is no gank.... that is an ordinary attack and a daring one at that, since the attackers try to break you with severly lacking firepower.... you would not have survived a gank more than a couple seconds....
If something like this happens make sure to prepare some things: 1. you are in a corp with 40 people, get them all in a standing fleet so they can actually warp to you in case of emergency. 2. if you are attacked, just write important information in chat, not stuff like "how am I still alive?" Important stuff includes. System, number of attackers, ships of attackers for example. "I'm tackled in XXX by 1 Cynabel and one Vexor. I can tank, send help" 3. make sure to stay aligned to a station, maybe rotate your camera so you can see it. Other than that, I must say you did a very good job, probably panicking a little, but you remembered you have drones, repaired, remembered you had drugs to increase your shield boost. I think the pirates screwed up and didn't bring enough DPS to destroy your ship. The Cynabel kited you, probably decreasing it's damage by a lot. The Vexor looks like it was just a tackle Vexor with neuts and it either capped itself out or messed up. Great Job.
In these situations always stay aligned even while pointed So that u can warp as soon as ur off And dont have to spend another 9 seconds to align giving him chance to tackle again
Nice work, might want to carry more types of ammo and get a new overview, yours is a clusterfuck having all the wrecks on you main overview :) and ofcorse having local and d-scan open. Fly safe
6 Cap recharge boosters vs ballistic control modules... You were set to MAX tank. Not bait since you didn't have a scram of your own. Interesting idea... although if you didn't get attacked killing those rats would take awhile. Worth it though you got away!
You have the most overpowered Tool of All time Local. Also a D-scan and local Tells you, for no reason, how many people are in system with you. Keep scanning on max range, if a neut popps up, align some where, best case to a safe, but any Planet will do. Preferably a celestial which is stacked with others, so gankers have to take a guess where you warped (if you dont have a safespot, u should have one) Press D-scan, on 14,3 if you see something on it reduce it to 5 to See if they are getting closer. Switch your over view to targets if they appear withhin 5au,so you can press warp if something lands on your grid. I wish I would ve been that cynabal, that would ve been an easy 1b killmail :D
this video funny as hell. i never did this when i was a noob, no dscan in lowsec, nothing useful in cargo, barely using drones, no ecm drones, no boosters in cargo, not using shortcuts, pinging corp through corp chat lmaooo, also the probe scanner on a raven is crazy
@Terriblechannellol You signed up for PVP when you jumped in dawg. When someone shoots or kills you, with whatever amount of effort, it's just PVP. Not a gank. If you were in highsec and the opponent wasn't supposed to be able to shoot you, then it would be a gank.
Ok bro I literally just don’t care anymore, I admit the mistake I didn’t know what I was doing when I was writing the title. Alr thanks for listening to my Ted talk@@FreeSeoul
The cynabal and vexor pilot are the same dude and roam that area of lowsec, dude is a massive clown and makes a fool of himself every chance he gets. Rarely will he ever take fair fights and when he does he loses them 9 times out of 10.
Best I can tell, that's 5 capacitor flux coils and 1 capacitor recharger that's been dragged down a row from the mid slots on the UI. Which, when punched into Pyfa does give a Raven an impressive ~100 or so GJ of peak capacitor regen, but leaves the poor ship with barely 2/3rds the actual capacitor capacity of a Drake... Basically, for all the regen it might have, two or three heavy neuts would have just alpha'd through that entire capacitor in one shot.
"Ganking" is a more general term not exclusive to EVE Online referring to attacking someone in PVP combat. It carries a connation of an ambush or in general a nonconsensual engagement by one party against another usually with a decided advantage in favor of the attacker.
@@K1lostream Is there a general source for this? I have played EVE Online for years and so far have not heard a different definition and have played with others who used it as I described.
This game changed a lot. Back in the day you very seldom could meet carebears in flashy ships in low and null. Nowdays i meet them at every corner. And you can distinguish carebear from regular pilot pretty easily. When carebear dies, he curses, calling you names and cry. But if he manages to escape, he brags about it as he was the best pilot in eve. When you kill regular pilot, he will simply say gf. Sometimes give some kind of comment about the fight or hes death. If regular pilot manage to run away, he will just say "better luck next time" or "it was close". Remember carebears each and every death in lowsec and null is either your fault or just a bad luck. Ah and congrats to your friends. So manny at corp chat and literaly noone to help you out. i tackled abadon once at the belt in low. I was flying dual rep dual prop Stabber Fleet. I didn't have enough dps to get through his tank but he couldnt harm me either after i killed all his drones. Quickly i went to our corp TS told the guys about the situation and heard only "we have 12 jumps, we will be there in about 5 minutes. And the came and we destroyed this Abadon. There were instances that some of us got caught ratting at the belts in null. There was mayby 1-2 times when we didn't get there on time to save our friend but in all instances we killed offenders. You should look for better friends or stay in highsec :)
A few tips Stay aligned - you switched what structure you want to warp to 3 times, if you would have stayed aligned you would have had 2 easy chances when he dropped point on you to get off grid. Drone management - when shooting the vexor your drones were still on the cynabal, in the end you got him to leave grid but neut pressure is normally a priority in these combat scenarios Dscan - you need to be dscaning in low sec, if you dont know what that mean look it up there are ton of videos that will show you how yo do it. Overall good work getting away in the end but if this was almost any other group with 5 ships + you would have been dead 8 minutes ago.
Auto missiles are ass; also, at the time of my recording this, I haven't trained t2 heavy missiles or cruise yet. and I was also kind of ass at the game at the time, as demonstrated by how I tried to fight the cynabal and vexor.
I’m not sure what your exactly talking about, if it’s the little lines in each bar those are just part of the graphics, if you are talking about the three large lines in between the healthbar and capacitor, that is to track the heating of your low, mid, and high slots. I think.
honestly speaking... another 2 cynabal came with him and you still would have been fine. Tank was not really scratched... could have keep reppers going since no neut pressure and I assume you are cap stable.
