Hi folks,
In this video we revisit Eve industry and this time is BPO research and take a look at 4-6 BPOs right now that you could be making ISK from. Some cases over 1000% returns! Yes 1000%. You get 11 slots make sure you are using them! You make ISK while not even playing. This can help feed you alt for station trading or help your main with PVP ships ect. I look at a few stations and explain why I use them with the benefits and the downsides.

Depends on the print for the price, and the time it takes to research it, most times I resale for purchase price x3. I may be cutting myself short, but they sell quick, usually. If you start with drones, a decent starting spot in my opinion. Don't get all the same kind, get 2 full set of standard light, medium, and heavy's. That way you can always build from 1 set, while selling and researching another. T2 parts and fuel blocks are another favorite of mine. I don't sale individual prints, I usually do set's, also.

Hey Strange Net - I usually don't comment on videos but I had to thank you for this quick and simple introduction to BPO research. Returning player after 2.5 years and without ideas of what to do with an indy toon and after a initial timid investment of 40Mil in reasearching BPOs last week, I'm already at a 100Mil return. Still small change but still great nonetheless! Keep up the content!

I watched a few of yours and others doing this, I used to make good isk selling BPC's but they were 1500 run copies and had almost zero wastage, since they changed the stats for BPO's the market dropped. Researching BPO's and then selling in packs did work, Large Drone, Sentry Drone, Med/light Drones again was good, but with so many trying the same, selling became a problem, I cannot stand the 1 isk wars, or have a fairly steady market only to have a new comer jump in and depress the price, below the market price just to remove other sellers. In Eve all they have ever done is make it worse, look forward to your PI video, I gave up years back when they allowed them to jack the import/export fee's, it took so much profit out

More good stuff - thanks for sharing with us! A couple questions, please: 1) how would you recommend transporting your BPOs (hs/ls) - freight contracts or do move yourself (and any suggested ship types & abilities)? 2) Is there any way to see historical contract prices?

Hey Shawn, tbh I move everything in a shuttle. Not the best practice but so far Ive had no issues. Just make sure you have an align time close or below 1.5 sec and youll be fine. BPC historic graph would be nice im not aware of any but there are some awesome websites out there that might do that. Would be handy!

I think your right about the whole research station thing, but with the up coming station changes it would worry me. The Quantum Cores will be a thing that makes it worth it to kill a station. Those things will be a blow to the smaller guys I think.

I only use the huge stations. No way im planting my own. Yes I might pay slightly more but the safety aspect is worth the cost to me.

@@strange_Net I was listening to your thoughts on Citadel changes that might make it worth hammering the larger ones down. I watched when Pandemic had theirs attacked on the regular by Test. Test kind of moved in and just took over. You have been playing so long that its .impressive your scope of knowledge, and I have been picking up a bit here and there. I've been trying what you put out on the blue print thing. I am doing just for fun right now. I might make a bit of isk here and there. I have no where near the investment that you show. Just picking your brain and seeing what you think about it. The Quantum Cores have me wondering just which way the game is going. Between that and the Triglavians it sure makes it interesting. Thanks for the reply. I actually have some in Tranquility as we speak. I have to admit I have no idea who owns it now. It seems to be a holding company.

I think there are better ways to make ISK with those Research spots! Sure the over all ROI on your risk vs reward is decent. And maybe its better to do something like this for some new bros. Maybe. But maybe its because I seem to feel like I never have enough slots of my own to justify small profits for it.

Do you sell BPC of em or the BPO fully researched ? i really want to get into research and manufactioring but sometimes it feels to big to grasp and not really that good at looking up contracts in eve

lol Kev, hope I didnt! Im only a small channel so even if I did you would be fine im sure. Be interesting in the next few days to check the market on the few BPOs I mentioned to see if its had any impact.

Hm, I have tried it with several characters with mixed results, one did quite well, selling his BPOs, or some of them at least, he was in Jita, I also tried it in Rens and Amarr, those don't seem to sell, I was thinking already to ship the BPOs to Jita to try it there. I also have an other char in Jita, she still waits for her BPOs to sell, I have to check again what is with them.... What do you think about researching further? Making copies and selling those or even try to manufacture yourself some T2 components?

Hi Rubax, I make all my own T2 components from my BPOs for any T2 stuff im making. Helps add value and can be easier and faster than making the components and selling on there own. Also I didnt say it I kind of assumed everyone does it out of Jita which is my bad. Ive only ever sold BPOs in Jita and they normally do just fine.

Hi. I have a question. Since BPOs are infinite, why people keep buying them? I mean, at some point everybody could have all fully researched bpos they need. Like, having a character with 11 jobs runs means I need 11x 10/20 BPO and I can manufacture a given item forever. So why would I bother buying more?

Would it make sense to research capital construction BPO's, the cheap ones, do people buy those?

Hey Log, they do sell. Pretty much all the cap stuff sells profit fluctuates but still normally decent for very little work

I guess I'm still stunned that people don't "do it themselves" to research BPOs to max TE/ME, like... people in such a huge rush to save those %'s on them they'd pay 10x or more the price? it stuns me.

Hey MH, some people dont have the skills are just want the BPO now I dont want to wait. Also the BPO will pretty much hold its value so your not loosing the ISK its just tied up until you sell. I must admit I have brought BPOs researched in the past but do do most of my own research nowdays.

The thing is, if someone is spending that much isk for something that takes you a few days, where are they getting their value? Who is buying them? Null groups buying bulk for their massive industry?

Not everyone has those industry skills. One thing I like doing is researching things like fuel blocks and selling them to null players who want a use for their PI.

Also dont forget that the BPO holds its value so more often that not you would be able to sell it for the price you brought it for.

Ten years I've played and never understood how people made isk from this. Now that I see it I feel like the biggest dumby. It's so simple. I thought people were copying the blueprints to make isk. I see on the contracts the copies are selling for like 300k and it left me scratching my head. I never thought to scroll down in the contract screen and see that researched originals were on sale. I could totally do this with my perimiter alt!

Anybody that argues with you over whether or not there is ISK to be made needs to re look at the Eve 'flex' screen you show with the plex and all the BPO's showing :)

Its all worth trying even if you find its not worth it. Gives you an idea of whats involved ect You may find you love it and it becomes your main source of income. You may hate it but you wont know unless you give it a go.

Yep. Some stuff you can only find in certain areas though. You won't find laser crystals in Minmatar or projectile ammo bpos in Amarr for example. Same for armor and shield bpos.

@@joaogabrielneto697 its not passive really you have to buy you have check markets you have to research you have wait 4 days just for research to end then you have to wait for someone to actually buy it. when you can make 500m easy in 1 day ratting.

I could argue for hours how this is exactly passive income. But i wont, i have better things to do, like manage my stocks and do market research while waiting for the business to deposit my dividends, so i can optimize my IRL passive income...

@@jk7878 Little to no income is truly passive however ratting 500m per day or doing 30 mins work every 20 days to make 500m a day. Ill take the latter every time.
