EVE Online Tutorial: Tips & Tricks For Setting Up Your User Interface

This is a great video, dude. I’ve got like 10mil skill points and, while I knew you could do most of this stuff, I never quite put together how to make it totall work for me. I think it’s mostly that I didn’t realize you could use nested tabs and have them always appear in the same place like you’ve pointed out. Can’t wait to sit down and fix my UI later.

one thing that i think this is missing is dragging the local chat to a single window for itself or completely to the side. If you are exploring, knowing at all times how many people there is in the system is really important, as well as if they are all from the same group or if you have flagged them with terrible reputation. For example im exploring and i see only a solo miner or something then suddently the system spikes by 3 people of the same pvp corp. that is really really useful info and not only for exploring but most things as well

Thanks for this tutorial. My setup was a mess and it changes my life. You saved my the time to figure this by myself. One thing maybe : I don't feel confortable having DSCAN and the Bookmarks together. If I detect sth shady, I feel like it will be more difficult to warp to the safe spot. What do you think ? Please note that I don't have experience, I'm playing Eve for just a few months now. :)

I knew of EVE when it came online, but was hesitant due to the Economy of the game and that everything needed to be purchased. I dont mind buying games and having a few add ons but EVE seemed to have gone over the top. With NEW Eden I will give it a real try and though I have less than 3 hours logged I do enjoy the interface. Now working on learning the controls and where to head for guidance. Fingers crossed -Echo931-

This is so old my choices are not the same as yours. The Probe scanner filter doesn't work like in this video. I like the detail but please tag an updated video. I may be wrong maybe it is a setting or do "alphas" not have the same choices? 🥃

ok right off the bat my interface for eve online does not have that menu on the left side of game screen to even start setting things up. I really need the idiots guide to starting and configuring Eve O. Is there such a thing and where is it please!!

Have joined the mailing list, hit the latest link for preset overview, said yes I want to override existing layout.... but then nothing happens, even on re-log in. Am I missing something?
