Hears a thought to consider, when the boys bind death to kill Casteil. Death says the leviathans are older than souls, what if one of the major differences between Eve and the leviathans is that Eve has a soul. Not necessarily a human soul, but the first monster with a soul. This may also explain how she maintains power over the leviathan, just as Crowley became far more powerful when he became king of hell, and other angels can tap in to the power of souls, she can tap in to the power of monster souls, which the leviathan cannot.
I don't remember where but somewhere I read that Eve was 1/2 Leviathan and 1/2 pagan god. I think it was "supernatural wiki" and that info was NOT in the show, BUT was in the book series.
I really like the idea of Eve essentially being the jail warden of Purgatory. It would explain so much. For example, if she and by extension, her children are related to Leviathan then it could also explain why Monsters generally hunger for human flesh and their ability to spread keeps a steady stream of souls as food for Purgatory.
If we extend the theorizing a bit further, the idea that God created her to be a caretaker for Purgatory could also explain why the angels never did anything about the monsters, despite clearly having the power to wipe them out and the job being to watch over humanity. If Eve first came to Earth and started making monsters after God went missing, it's possible the angels did not wipe out her monsters after she got banished back to Purgatory because they didn't know if God intended for these things to exist or not and didn't want to accidentally go against his will. This of course assumes that the angels, at least Michael and Raphael, knew about Eve and why she exists. And a tangentially related idea: if a nephilim or group of nephilim was somehow responsible for letting Eve out of Purgatory for the first time, it would explain why angels hate and mistrust nephilim so much. They might have decided to do nothing about the monsters and let history just play out, but that doesn't mean they would be happy about the existence of monsters and the threat they pose to Mankind.
I like to think that "Eve" is actually the original human. As in Adam. I think that after she was banished. She rebelled. And then created the monsters. Which makes sense since in season 15 Adam has a new girlfriend. Also we know Adam is magical, since his rib bone was part of the spell that can kill God. And their son was kane.
I came here to say something similar, and also Lilith is the first woman created and didn't want Adam she wanted Lucifer so then he created Eve and still the same thing happened, no human can be told who or what they are. The original free will gang!
@florence, I have to disagree with you, maybe her real name is Lilith Adams first wife, but because she was prideful and wouldn't submit to Adam god created the first succubus Lilith. When she was killed, god banished her and she took the name Eve to spite God and become the mother of all monsters. Like Eve became the mother of all humans and to mock Eve and God, she Lilith who goes by Eve, allowed the Alphas to turn the true Eves children into her stepchildren, mocking God.
My personal theory on eve is that she is eve from the beginning and becomes what she is when she ate the forbidden fruit and it was intentional by chuck so that she becomes the warden that the Levi’s needed
@@DannyDJ1205 Then later on, Adam has an angel Serafina as his new beloved. That is another example saying not everything in Supernatural match the story to the bible. I mean Adam's first wife would have to be Eve and then when Adam was forced to move on with his life, Adam ended up having Serafina as his 2nd wife.
Surely she is, otherwise why give her such a well known name. They would have known who people would think of in this context, if an ancient character was called Eve.
Edgar once called Eve "A mutt. Barely one of us." I'm certain that Eve is a unique variant of Leviathan. I won't take the Phoenix Ash weakness too seriously, since when that was written they hadn't thought of the Leviathans yet, but I'm assuming that weakness is unique to Eve.
I think that Chuck replaced the leviathans with monsters by changing their formula and creating Eve so she can spread monsters in order to control the human/animal population. And the Alpha Vampire said that he was there(earth) when humans discovered the fire
It felt like given the leviathans they were the first monsters but were deemed a failure due to their insatiable appetite Eve was the perfected version of them cuz shes very similar in nature, however she was satisfied with a balance of monsters and hunters, until crowley and cass did what they did
@@KarltheBarloff topic statement,no leviathans came first and are a little bit older than eve so that new retcon of leviathan are eve’s children is a biased statement and should not exist, and it’s a shame that we didn’t get to see eve ever again except mentioning her in purgatory.
I actually really like this explanation. Even though it's not listed as canon I think you took all the things that are canon and assembled it and filled it in to a way that makes sense with it.
The theory that Eve accidentally killed herself by destroying a phoenix she created makes perfect sense. I imagine that Chuck put a failsafe in Eve in case she designed monsters beyond Chuck's realm of power. Such as true immortality. Her creations like werewolves and vampires still have weaknesses. She tested the Phoenix's immortality and some of the Ash got in her mouth and she killed herself. I think that makes more sense
I like to think of Eve as the Alpha Leviathan, who just has special abilities due to how old she is. Dick Roman was the one that everyone followed on Earth, because Eve was "dead".
My personal headcanon is that Eve is actually Echidna, the Mother of Monsters in Greek Mythology. The two have a lot of similarities. They're both monstrous women who have birthed a ton of monsters, they both have a lot of power, and they're both immortal. It just makes a lot of sense to me.
Hey man, I want you to know, I LOVE your work, it’s very well edited and put together and I’m so glad I discovered your channel, and I have notifications on for your videos, keep up the wonderful work man
Yeah I also agree. Eve really wasn't evil, but more as like. I'm so over this crap & situations 🤣😂. But anyway yeah I wish supernatural did let the fans know what type of creature eve really is and what her true purpose is.! 🤔. But now we would never know. And even in The Winchester series about the Multiverse. Who is God? And is Jack is some how a god in all Reality throughout the Multiverse or not?
"If you're watching this video but for some reason have not watched the show" Me: deeply afraid but also extremely fascinated by horror et al and watching videos like this is the only way I can get that fix.
I love how in super natural, theres literal gods and ascended beings, and two guys who reckon something who just go around murdering all of them because the plucky human spirit
Honestly i dont understand why the winchesters did not agree to work with eve in killing crowley considering she didnt have any diabolical plans and just wanted him dead its likely eve would have went back to purgatory after or did what the alphas do and just Fd off to someplace to live quietly and observe the world.
I’ll forever be sad how eve was poorly wasted by Eric kripke the writer or whoever wrote that episode,we didn’t even get to know her character enough and all they gave us was 3 episodes, cmon how is it possible for them to give demons and angels episodes to last longer than eve, if you ask me, she should be brought back and learn about her backstory and more.
@@KING_ZODINEUS then who was it that wasted the character, ik Eric kripke was somehow involved but not with the idea of killing off the character that quick so I’m still questioning who it was that did it?
@evergreens0173 Kripe wanted to end the show at s5, but everyone, the producers, the showrunners, the cast, the fans and even the channel didn't wanted to end the show. So he left after S5 and let the producers take over, Robert Simger was the one leading along with the producers and even some actors like Jensen (Dean) and Richard (Gabriel) went and helped. The use some of Kripe scratched ideas for a while, them they had to be creative, we can see the big difference after season 5. So probably Robert Singer dispatch Eve so fast. Who knows.
My biggest curiosity about the creatures is when we get to the changelings/shape shifters. They go their whole lives changing their shapes, but do they have a base shape for themselves? Like they get birthed out as their original selves, and they start changing from there. So, would/could/should there be some kind of subconscious template of what they would have looked like in their very first form? Because I doubt they go through their lives constantly changing what they look like after people they encounter without even being curious about what they would have looked like originally or tried to make their own look.
I clicked on the video, and on your first question I could only find myself saying "dragons!" which got even less lore and screen time than Eve. Eve was definitely a close second for me, as she was supposed to be super important. Though I think this stems from SPN having supposed to only last 5 seasons. But they kept it going, and she seemed kind of like filler glue to tie story elements together. Though I will say, I haven't finished the video yet so I am curious if you mention that haha Edit - he didnt, but he did dive into dragons a little bit but my curiosity is not sated. Subscription still earned!
13:42 i never knew that this monster was a rugaru. I always thought this was a werewolf that looked like this because they were in purgatory and because of that it revealed his „trueform“. Damn those rugaru are some ugly things 😅😂
As a huge fan of all things mythical and occult from cultures around the world Supernatural is by far my favorite TV series on the subjects. So happy I found your channel, I have so many thoughts on the show. You answered the big ones, Chuck and Eve. I agree with you Chuck is not God, a sibling of the true God and Amera. I think he was the Middle one, who lost their parents attention after the third one was born. Your Eve hypothesis I am not so sure about it, but it is food for thought. Thank you for the work you have done. I wish I could afford those books. May I request a video, the other gods, who made them, how are the so powerful? Thank you.
it still puzzles me if this Eve was as in Adam and Eve, or a different one., like she was named Eve because she is the mother of all monters like how Eve was the mother of humanity
Since they've used other people from that time like Cain it's not completly unlikely, but I think in this case she's just named Eve because 1. it sounds good with all the bible talk and 2. because she is the mother of monsters like Eve was for humanity, like you said. Making her the actual Eve from the bible would imply that either she is human or every human after Eve is at least partly a monster, which I don't think is the case.
I think she was created by God to replace the Leviathans on earth. She's probably only part Leviathan so they hate her and see her as inferior. After Dick's death its likely she was able to take control over them after a war or something idk.
I'm kind of wanting them to bring the show back and I have a way that they can do it Chuck is human now so therefore he would have a soul so when he dies you know he's not going to heaven however he would still have all the knowledge of having been god so he dies and goes to hell takes over from Crowley's mom uses his knowledge to speed up the process of becoming a demon and the demon chuck with all the knowledge he would have would surely be able to be a universe ending threat
He’s “human”, but it’s unclear if he has a soul or not. When Cas (and Anna and Metatron) became “human”, I’m pretty sure they didn’t have a soul, and I always thought Chuck’s outcome was pretty much the same; a powerless “entity”, that’s pretty much a “human”, but with no soul. And because of that, I always thought, if he were to die as a “human”, he’d end up in the Empty, not Heaven or Hell. If they were to bring Supernatural back, I always thought The Empty would’ve made the villain, not Chuck again.
@@ooo8430 well the reason I think he does is because Metatron told Castiel when he died as a human when he got back to heaven to come tell him about his life so I'm thinking he probably does and that would be a great way to bring the original show because "Chuck as a demon with the knowledge of God would be a very big bad"
@@captainjellicoe1701e Well remember this: when Metatron became a human he still know about spells and etched. He also try to stop The Darkness , he probably would be succeeded if The darkness wasn't god sister a.k.a the other- half of God Himself. So yeah I also believe if their do it right. God/ chuck would still know how to used magic and spells. Hell the boys learn a spell to trap death Himself. Imagine what type of spell that chuck know and can do. Yes Crowley say to the boys/the brothers saying that was Lucifer who was using a powerful spells to hold death. However sam cut him off quickly by saying a spells is still an spells. Meaning you don't have to be all powerful to used a powerful spells or magic. So yeah chuck being a human to turn into a demon or something else altogether. Chuck may get his power back or something else!?🤔 If their wanted chuck to make an come back.
@@gabrielhughes8221 I don't think he would get God level Powers again I'm just thinking he would be able to get more powerful than a night of Hell type demon because he would still have all the knowledge of having been God and use that knowledge to augment whatever Powers he got on top of being a demon so I withdraw saying he might be a Universe ending threat but he can still be a big threat at least
@@captainjellicoe1701e Yeah probably. Whether he get his God power back or some type of a gods-like powers. It hard to say and pinpoint. Remember knowledge is power and chuck got that knowledge. Whether their decided to downplay chuck again or not. Because the series into ended to soon and to crazy. So much their have to make Jack some how defeated chuck who acting like chucky lol 😂🤣😅. Was kinda stupid and and very dumb. But yeah, remember what Crowley mom say when she got the book of damn. You never know or see what a witch can do with real magic, again it talking about the knowledge of true magic. She is pretty OP. In the mainstream universe in supernatural and also her counterpart in a different timeline. She seem powerful and knowledgeable enough to help out in her own way to stop a big threat. Meaning she didn't act like it would be the end of the world for her. When she give home girl that magic item. Again chuck may be that type of person if their decided to bring him back and wanted him to make his moved.
In series Edgar says Eve was a Mutt, he says she barely a Leviathan. This why I think God allows her stay in the Earth realm and give birth all those kinds of monsters.
the silhouette or true form of alt world Michael when he was possessing dean was under used, i wish we got to see gods or aramas supernatural form through an angels eyes (if they did have one and its not just pure light and darkness)
I know the Vampires in purgatory did not hunger. Purgatory's effect on hunger was probably designed for the hunger of the Leviathans. It was strong enough to stop or extremely diminish the hunger of leviathans. So any other creature that went there who's hunger was not as extreme would not hunger at all.
I think she’s related to them but not 100% genetically more like a distance Cousin ! Also Egar spoke as if he’s stronger than her but I don’t think he’s that much more stronger she didn’t seem to fear or care about their existence I’m guessing due to her ability to make monsters they wouldn’t be able to just flat out defeat her Either.
I think it's implied that Eve was a weaker variant by that other leviathan that was killed by the Alpha Vampire. That or genesis has a curnel of truth in that she was created as a hybrid of leviathan and human.
i think that Eve could well be the result of God learning from his previous creations. Levis are powerful, smart and lethal, but their tendancy to eat every other cell in the petri-dish is a problem for the God of creating stuff. Humans have the potential to care about others and his perfect creation of the Human soul is uniquely theirs. so... why not slam their DNA together at high speed? this would also give the Levis side the ability to procreate and make more souls, and the human side the ability to be born with new and interesting differences.
I really like this theory, it surely is better than what we got. Eve was such an interesting character, so have her character be so underused in the show is pretty annoying. I wish we got much much more of her.
In kabbalistic lore, Lilith is the mother of monsters. Obviously in Supernatural Eve and Lilith are not the same being, but Eve's characteristics do match Lilith from many texts.
"i am the mother of all monsters" gets killed 3 episodes later,ya thats believable, the monsters she creates are more durable then her :P but i like the overall story of this.
Eve is just lillith or rather lillith is the prototype female who did not submit to adam I like the idea that maybe they were both actually named eve because it's a title of generation 1 woman or lillith just took the name eve to mock god
Eve coudn't have created the phoenix monsters/people/whatever. She died to the phoenix ashes, would be weird for her weakness to be one of her children...
Linguistic Analysis should tell you the actual history. V is a low percentage letter meaning its not the first female name. ANA is more likely the earliest female name.
I don't really think the alpha vampire was a human, he might honestly predate humans altogether. Some monsters were definitely created from humans, but the way the alpha vampire talks about humans makes it sound like he's never been one.
