Thanks Dave, top work as usual. Having bought all three Volumes and used this stuff to test engineering systems, all our family love your special approach to these wonderful tracks from our youth. Now having grey hair and some of the original 12" singles from BMR in Soho and local record shops in SW London, this is magical. Talk about "cut a rug". Keep on keeping on.. Top work, Mr Lee. ZR forever. Night from SW19.
Hello and thanks again. Good work with more stuff and keep making the place better with your music. If it's any consolation and this event actually goes ahead, we are coming by the legendary 93 to Morden Park on Sat, 4th September for the "Beautiful People" event all the way from Wimbledon. Line-up sounds mad; Masters at Work (in South London ?!), David Rodigan MBE and David Lee - proper rocking and could be a special day. Bring a brolly or two, with a load of beer from the nearest Asda (Stonecot Hill) or Co-op (Lower Morden). Shopping trolleys for drunken casualties back to the bus stop optional. Night from the Ridgway.
I'm a real stickler for not having classic songs that I grew up with and love messed with years later.... But this remix is beautifully done. I wish it was a thing when I was 10 years old!🙋🏿♂️ Props to Joey Negro for this one. As an aging Gen Xer, I fully endorse this...Definitely getting played at the cookout!😹
I like J.N's remixers. but the intro was by far too long, over a minute. Honestly the original is a cult which should never be touched. Some tunes are classic and they are timeless the way they are. this is my opinio.
well you managed to remove the funk ... as if you're gonna do a better job than Kashif, sounds like the way "joey" probably dances, goofy as hell (cliche editing really). Pretty arrogant to think you're gonna improve the original masterpiece (and the robotic "liner notes" says it all).
