Even F2P Ruan Mei is a Game Changer... (Honkai Star Rail) 

ice damage orb doesnt increase the break damage btw! i'd recommend making her more tanky instead

In the same image of Xingqiu and Yelan working together, I put Ruan Mei and Bronya together and it's actually insane, they compliment each other perfectly and turn a strong carry in a beast.

Apparently ice sphere doesn't increase break damage on Ruan Mei so you should go for a defensive sphere like HP or Def%

You dont need to ult after Ruan Mei's turn to have the 2 full turns of her field because it only ticks down at the START of her turn. That allows you to use her ult when it is her turn before using skill or basic and still get 2 turns of the field. You can check the duration of her field in the buffs screen on Ruan Mei and it will still say 2 turns after her turn when you ulted at her turn.

Just a heads up, break damage is only affected by the break effect stat and your level. No crit, no elemental damage, nothing else.

Pulled her a few hours ago, game changing with Clara especially. Drastically improved my svarog counters

It's actually incredibly easy to overtune her on BE, especially if you're using Memories or her Sig LC. Ice DMG boost also doesn't help her break damage whatsoever so I would prioritize her tankiness (HP or Def) unless you desperately need BE. For Body piece, same thing. Just go the opposite of whatever you have for the Orb.

The most fun you can have with her is in SU. It's so fun killing the first phase of the boss just with her technique.

Hp% or def% orb and body is the best for Ruan mei since break damage scale mostly from break effect and level

would blade, Ruan Mei, Bronya and Huhuo be a good team? (for blade hypercarry since i don't have jingliu) or should i use welt or smth instead of Bronya

I don't have jingliu on my main account but I gave my mains Ruan Mei as support to my alt and my jingliu with all the buffs from huohuo, tingyun and Ruan Mei hit for more than 250k dmg against some calyx mobs which is pretty decent considering my jingliu ain't nothing special at all

does ruan mei dmg buff and res pen also aplies to numby and lighting lord

im not sure if youve done that but just in case: if you use mei's (and anyone else's tbh) ultimate after she attacks but before the enemy's turn, it will count as using it in her turn. i once used yukong ult after luocha and a lil before the enemy took its turn and i just lost my buff... eh

I got Ruan Mei and Xueyi at E1 and they're both game changers for me 😊😊

Is she good with Clara? I recently got Clara and I've been wanting her for so long. I don't know what characters to get to buff my Clara so I'm a little confused and I've been hearing things like shes not good with her and stuff like that so I'm not sure if it's worth it. Help? Thanks.

Dang I already completed Gold and Gears, it's always easy mode when you got Fu xuan and HuoHuo in a single team! Ruan Mei is also pretty great, glad I won the 5050 (literally a few hours ago) P.S. I used Fu xuan, Huohuo, Topaz and Clara and usually ran Elation which made it super easy. I also used Erudition running the same characters but with Blade instead of Topaz. The last path I used was Nihlity, in this one I used the same sustains with Sampo and Silverwolf. (I also used the other paths but I found Elation the most reliable for me)

Break Damage scales only on 2 factors from your character, her level and her break effect. Debuffs on enemies can increase this further. So using an Ice DMG Boost orb is pointless on her, and building HP/DEF is better. Best relics IMO are HP/DEF chest, SPD boots, DEF/HP Orb and ERR rope with break effect stats as much as possible. Effect RES mainly for Broken Keel, altho I believe Fleet of the Ageless is better.

The new 4 star has the potential to be on par in dmg with Jing Liu just so you know(obviously with eidolons and the right set ups)

Ice dmg sphere doesn't effect break dmg and it can't crit so the only way to increase break dmg is break effect and getting the unit to lvl 80

Under 3k hp ruan mei can be one tapped by the monkey boss. Give her some def/hp chest or the orb. Mine is at 4.2k hp with 1.5k def and 165 speed and 188 be. /Dreams There's an incoming new set next patch for ratio and her. Haven't runndown the math on the new set.

F2P here is she worth it over Blade now i only have one dps that being JIngliu i have Tingyun and Asta built to buff my team i have Natasha as a healer, only healer i got sadly and i have been using the main character and Welt these are the character i have built and i really feel the lack of another dps when doing forgotten hall is she worth it over me getting another dps i know dr ratio is coming soon and is free but is Blade more solid or should i just wait for Imbibitor Lunae

If you want the first turn buff for you team you need at least 145 speed for ruan mei not 134 because of the spd boost she gives that unconditional excluding her self her team mate will always be ahead if she has less than 145 speed

So she can work with Topaz

Ruan Mei powercreep is ridiculous and I know that those that don’t have her will have a HUGE disadvantage. I’m already seeing it. And I’m likely to be one of those people because I pulled SW and Argenti not thinking she will be that brokenly op just Bronya level with a different focus than her. 😭😭😭 I didn’t even feel like this with Jingliu or Fu Xuan. A singular game changing character sounds good on paper, but what about those who don’t or can’t get her, how will they keep up? I do not like this at all. On the other had Argenti is ridiculous is SU Erudition Gold and Gears. This is on run where I got the elation interplay and the blessing that makes ultimates follow ups. My 70 Argenti did 2M damage ults back to back. Nothing stood a chance.

as a f2p with ruan mei, she is busted even at E0. hell, i would suggest that himeko and ruan mei are good together

you should try double dps + double support. Blade, Jinglu, Bronya, Ruan. Use Bronya on Jinglu to trigger Blades follow up more often.

Man focus on speed and her defensive stats. Yeah she have enough be but can she survive on the new moc with just 2.4k hp lmaoo. Give her hp/def chest piece or orb piece. Just farm more and get lucky.

Cursed build bro. Use break effect set and either break or energy set for orb/rope. Elemental buff is useless on Ruan Mei since she has almost no personal damage outside breaking toughness. Use either hp or def chest and orb. Break chest piece can be good too. Anywhere you can use Ruan Mei talent + attack will instantly kill anything or remove the entire first hp bar of bosses.
