Imagine sitting dormant in a package for 10+ years to be awoken by an Australian who uploads shrek into you then tears you apart. That lego mp3 player must’ve done something terrible in its past life.
There’s something so poignant about its last message to you being shrek... A final farewell.... An apology for its existence and hatred... A wish to have been something better? Beautiful.
10:45 I love how it slowly scans Shrek in as it shuts off forever. Gives me Caesar vibes from Jojo. Little LEGO MP3 transfers the last of his energy to you through an image of Shrek right before he dies. Only in this case, you’re both Joseph and Wammu and 1 Grit is the cross shaped rock.
Guys guys guys You're missing this. They're to raise the MP3 player by 1/3rd brick, so it rounds up to a multiple of 1 brick height. That's so you can also build around it. They're separated to demonstrate the possibilities though, so you try it out and understand, as you said.
For real this was funny for like one episode but a little pass through tsMuxer and playing with the sei and vui data options would probably fix it so at this point it's just annoying.
You know what. If I had this built into my LEGO village as a miniature TV as a kid I would have lost my shit. I actually would have bought this just for that reason
I would have KILLED for this back when I was a kid not to use as an mp3 player of course, but to incorporate it into a Lego build, as a television or something
@@cagethelonewolf I can imagine one of the "engineering" guys telling the art team that they pumped that thing full of so much glue that no kid could possibly destroy it, even if they tried.
I actually had this when I was growing up, it was my most favourite thing I owned. Just the fact I could use it with my legos blew my mind away and it didn’t sound too too bad either.
I remember seeing one of these when they were new in the lego store. I really wanted one, I thought it would be really cool to have one and build it into one of my childhood creations. I mean how cool would it be to build a giant lego castle and what’s this? Headphones sticking out the side of playing the Chronicles of Narnia audiobooks. Hell yeah
0:20 I had the Creative Zen player and it was awesome, the fact it had cover art (for a display so tiny) was very cool to see. I loved moving Limewire files to WMP and then having to organize them all into respective albums so the cover art would be on the player. 🖤💚
Stop may be a highly important song to the plot, but it's not like it was ever going to become a fan favorite due to its short length. The Wall has plenty of other popular songs on it.
3:00 those are actually some really good scissors, Toledo is a region in Spain that makes some of Europe’s best steel, they are also famous for making great knives.
I had this thing as a kid, and honestly I spent more time trying to take it apart carefully than listening to music on it lol. It was satisfying to see you finally take this apart so I can see how it was put together, I can sleep peacefully now.
1024 Bytes = 1KB 1000 Bytes = 1000B (Trust me that is how memory works) Future: ( *Well It Is The Future I Guess* ) 1024 Petabytes (above Terabytes) = 1 Exobyte And The Internet Is Over 2,000 Exobytes, Well This Brings Up The Weirdest Thing That Happened To Me ONCE. Erik Kissman the galaxy tab 3 lite by Samsung, alternatively known as the E lite SM is Samsung Mobile T is Tablet 3 is 3 series not sure about 11, as the tablet is 7 inches not 11 inches
@@JinxCade 1. Exabytes not Exobytes 2. 1000 bytes is a kilobyte. You could say that 1024 bytes is a kibibyte, but nobody has used binary prefixes since the 80s. 1 exabyte is 1000 petabytes, or 1.000.000 terabytes. Plain and simple. 1 exbibyte would be 1024 pebibytes though
I'm pretty sure this is the first video I watched of this channel and it holds a special place in my heart Especially the ending, I fell in love right away. Thank you for the amazing content.
That SanDisk Sansa brought back some amazing memories of when I bought one full of music from a garage sale when I was like 10 and discovering red hot chilli peppers
Man that SanDisk you shows at the beginning of the video brings me back. One of my friends got an mp3 player for Christmas one year and all of us tried it out at their NYE party.
*Weird stuff on his channel:* -Watching Shrek on an iPod -Playing mobile games on an iPod -1 GRIT and now ... -a mp3 player made out of Lego *Stop this mad man!*
Regarding the Scissors, Toledo is a city in Spain famous for their quality knives and derivatives, so if they're really from Toledo, they should be NICE
I had that little black and green Creative for years and years. Seeing it brought back so many memories. For being so small, it was a beast, and the battery lasted nearly a decade. Actually, it was the screen that eventually gave out before anything else.
I remember seeing a kid with one of these while waiting at an airport over 10 years ago (Xmas 2009). Never thought I'd find out what it actually was lol.
Kinda surprised we didn’t get a MP3 cartridge for the game boy. It had a camera and a printer but no MP3 player. Even the Sega game gear had a radio+TV cartridge.
I actually own one of these! I got it in my stocking in 2009 and I used it non stop until I got a cell phone in 2014. The crazy thing? It still works! There was a hot minute in 2013 when the button worked backwards and I got super freaked out about it, but the next day it worked just fine. Used intermittently (a few hours a day) the charge lasts a solid week, and it can hold a respectable amount of music imo. My biggest issue is how it sorts music- when you open the music section, you can either go by album or artist, but the trick is that it'll sort by every artist listed on the song. The first thong I loaded on here was a musical, but I could only listen to a few songs at a time because I had to choose which character I wanted to hear singing. You can get a bit of a work around by making sure you edit the album and artist information on each track before loading it, but it's a super unreliable and frustrating process. Overall I rate it a 6/10 because it refuses to die but it's also very cranky.
Seems your channel a few times but decided to watch some videos yesterday and I’m so glad I did cuz it’s amazing. I also got Rick rolled by an ad before one of your videos
There is something fascinating about things like this because it means weirder and weirder things are LEGO "legal" if you scrub deep enough in their old failed products.
