@@onlyinparadise4613 It's $100 in *coupons*. I've been trying to copy what it says when I hover over the info icon, but it disappears too fast. From memory, it says something like: coupon bundle may contain $25 off $50, $15 off $75, $30 off $100. Also it only works for new users / first time orders.
Super cute haul! I’m so jelly 😂 I’m glad you got the collapsible shelves and the black organizer… I’ve had my eye on them for a while now. It’s nice to see them IRL, now when they show up in the mail I’m going to tell hubby that I “was influenced” 😅thanks so much for sharing and as always, looking forward to your next adventure. 😊
I've had a pocket stove for years, like having an igniter. The collapsible pie iron - clever. I will modify my long handled one to be either long or short. The grate with legs would be my choice for stability. Another great video!
Yes!! U got me with Temu gadgets n the 100 dollar coupon 🎉 been looking for these types of gadgets after watching S.Korean camping channels Thanks for the link!!
I have the collapsible wood and metal shelf. Mine’s a real pain to close (opens fine), so if you find the trick to that, I’m all ears! I like the idea of the clamp on shelf, will be interesting to see how it works out in camping. And I really like the little lantern.
Other than pinching my fingers, if I'm not careful, mine closes OK so far. Maybe yours has some sort of misalignment with one of the rods in the tracks, or one of the hinges could use to be lubed up a little. 🤔
next time you need to replace your computor, pull the fan from it. an wire that into apower supply for night time air movement. you gave me a few ideas on the .50 cal can also.
I’ve been wanting to add a solar fan to my sunroof too! I’d also like to have a fan with a battery pack too. I purchased plastic placemats and 36” bamboo skewers to block out bugs and support the fans in the sunroof. I liked the black end shelf UNTIL you showed how webble-wobble it is. Love your camp coffee/cook station. I watched the same guy with his Stanley one. If you weren’t Shoestring Martha, you could be a Sandra Lee gadget gal. Sandra Lee takes partially made or done things and alters them/adds to them….like you do with your gadgets. Love that you tailor it to you! Kudos.
Very clever solar setup! Yeah if I could choose again, I’d get the shorter version of the organizer thingie. The tall one is more than I need and not super stable on a roll top.
Am interested to see how the fan works out. I got a section of gutter guard and mounted a computer fan on it that runs on USB and hope to put it in the slightly open window to see if it pulls the hot air out. Your idea would be great to try. Nice haul overall.
Love your content and look forward to what you bring in the next video. Thank you! Just a side note.. suggestions..thought..how about a thin long scrap wood on the top edge of the table, where your tall storage thingy screws on to, might give a little more meat to hold on to and stabilize it a bit better?? Happy Camping!!
Martha, I always enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing how your solar fan project works out. I'm wondering if it might be more useful as a window insert rather than a sunroof insert? If you're trying to keep heat out during the day, I think keeping the sunroof closed with the shade over it would be more thermally efficient. And I'm thinking bug screens no matter where you install it. Best wishes on all your camping adventures!
Thank you and all good points! I'm hoping to only have to crack the sunroof, and that the cardboard insert would block any light or bugs. But I do have big screens for all the windows (even the sunroof), if that's not the case.
You can put a silicone bracelet on the top of can to cover the sharp edge. I've tried it and it works great! It also gives more stability to the top of can. Love your videos btw.
they make much larger ammo cans. the largest is for 20mm. i bought a few to make 450$ 8kwh 24v lifepo4 battery boxes out of. some people make actual wood stoves for their cabin out of them. i was suprized at how big they were. i think i bought 4 of them for 24usd ea shipped
Great video, but if you do want to alter your wood shelf for your Outin espresso machine, you don't have to cut one slat in half. Just make half-circle notches in two of the slats leaving a full circle hole in the middle of a shelf. That way you don't have to jerryrig any supports or braces for a slat, which might also impede folding the shelf down.
Too late! 😬 The slats were a bit too narrow to notch out. Ideally, I would have replaced all 3 with a solid top, but I only had this dinky little piece of “good” wood. instagram.com/p/C-Via0DvNPa/?igsh=MTN5emVzNW85ZWNkNA==
Can i just say i ALWAYS look forward to your videos. I appreciate your honesty in them. FYI...I freaking love all of these products especially the lil light and pie iron/sandwich maker. Is this one smaller than your other one? I see the handle is, but curious about the cook area.
Hi Martha (or Kori? i'm confused by folks calling you different names in the comments) I'm also Martha and glad I found you. I have also fallen down the Temu hole. I both love it and hate it, just like I love/hate Amazon. Alas, I still like their stuff. I'm leaving for camping on the Oregon coast tomorrow will need to look up some of your items for more details. Gracias, Stay cool
Hiya Martha, I'm watching from England. Looks like ya can't resist a gadget, (like me). I was going to suggest an hole cutter for your coffee slats like one of your other replies. Regards Michael
Excellent idea, but the espresso maker is too wide or the slats are too narrow -- depending on how you look at it. I ended up replacing half of one and adding a brace. Ideally I would have replaced all three slats with a solid top with a hole in it, but I only had one dinky little piece of "good" wood. I have a pic on FB, if you can see it: scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/454445628_460129060179823_1173303730252844396_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=bd9a62&_nc_ohc=gTzdzlpD1X4Q7kNvgHoVc0r&_nc_ht=scontent-lax3-1.xx&oh=00_AYACBDmRqiJaQyZEUJr27gRYMpiFvbfSSUMTBn1RZgJ3Sg&oe=66B9BA33
Does the little gas ⛽️ stove burn 🔥 pump gas ? I heard that temu sells the customers information, and for that reason, I won't be buying from them. How do you get around that?
It is refillable. (for $40 it had better be) I’m using butane, and you just smash the nozzle into the hole in the top. Propane requires some sort of adapter.
Hi Martha sorry have I missed the video or link for the refillable gas, I always have half empty butane cans. I’m hoping this would work to stop waste ;-). Thanks
@@c.p6469 There was a link in the description, but I was asked to remove it by you-know-who, so I'm just going to put it here in the comments. 🤫 I'll be showing more of it in my next camping video, out early next month. amzn.to/3SOLuwh
@@ShoestringMartha So what is your name then... Just wondering because everyone seems to think it's Martha I think it starts with a C, right? Oh... someone just called you Korie, is that spelled right?
Pleaaaase dont buy things off Temu. It is such a cesspit of slave labor and endless consumption :( i understand the desire for cheap and easy gadgets but buying secondhand is really the way to go
I have to say, the Temu connection and content does make me uncomfortable. I try to pay for handmade items where I know the people are paid a living wage.
If you buy from Walmart or any other store in America, you are buying the same products, just paying more. A living wage in other countries is a whole lot different than a living wage here.
You must not be much of a camper..cause you would know sometimes they can blow up..I've seen it a few times and its scary..if you watch other RU-vid videos you will see they are sometimes worried the first time lighting!
Thank you for inviting to watch this video. After watching your video “Ammo Can Coffee Kit - A DIY Micro Camp Kitchen” I started thinking of what I wanted in a small stove. One of the things I want, is a small stove that I can use in the morning before leaving camp or while on the road to heat left overs. Instead of using my two-burner stove or my IGT setup in a rest area. I’ve watched a few videos including Slow Beat. One of the things I want to avoid is having the controls for the stove inside the Ammo can / Stanley lunchbox. While searching the internet, I came across the stove from Serotonin Outdoors. Although, I like this stove I don’t like the fact that the burner sits on top of the stove. I imagine that having the burner inside the stove would work better because the stove would provide wind protection. The nice thing about Serotonin Outdoors is that they sell every item individually and the burner has the fuel control next to the iso butane connection. Meaning, the control could be outside the Ammo can / Stanley lunchbox. I think this burner might be a good addition along with the Firefly Multi-Function Pot Stand which is where the Firefly Gas Burner sits. I imagine that the pot stand could sit on two “L” brackets installed along the inside of the Ammo can length wise. This way the burner could be moved where you want the flame. Looking forward to your next video and future modifications.
Well - darn it - now I want one of those Serotonin stoves! 😅 I think your plan sounds pretty good to me. I did try the stove-in-can setup, and reaching in to turn the gas up or down wasn't too bad. I did use a long reach lighter to make igniting a little easier.
I enjoy the camp kitchen with flip down side option & wood like top. But Temu/Fedex just mis-delivered my last order. A steal of a deal on a Pelican kayak. Was asking neighbours if they’d noticed a 5.5 ft package on their porch!. 😆 🥾⛰️🇨🇦❤️
