We re-elected him with 96% of the vote in 2018, and actually looking forward to sharing him with the country from the White House in 2020.
Incredibly consistent. A man of integrity and great moral stature. It's difficult to identify a consistent ideology within oneself, let alone stick to one in the public arena for so many decades.

Because people are told by the government that there is such thing as "trickle down economics" which totally isn't real... that they don't need anything for cheap, when big business get cuts that goes out and trickles down to us somehow. I am not a socialist myself, but Bernie is the only candidate who has decent and realistic plans to bring affordable healthcare and education to citizens. I get that the term "socialist" is very loaded for you, but I do not think it is fair when poor people do not get the same opportunities as rich people simply for the fact that they do not have the money for them.

A few years ago, I had the privilege of spending time with one of the couples who forced Vermont to create the first-in-the-country civil union system that existed before same-sex marriage. They definitely appreciated the support from then-Congressman Sanders for their efforts. And they're still happily married, which is more than can be said for many opposite-sex couples I've known over the years.
