You need to adjust the crotch buckle into outer slot when you are forward facing your child or when your child reached 13.6kg.
It took us a while to located the release handle, which underneath the seat pad. What a thoughtful design, you just got to know how!
According to the user manual:
Crotch Buckle Positions:
Inner Slot: The crotch buckle must be in inner slot for rear-facing installation, and for forward-facing installations with children who weight less than 13.6kg /30lbs.
Outer Slot: The crotch buckle must be in outer slot for forward -facing instalaltions with children who weight 13.6kg/30lbs or more.
