Very interesting. I'm from Alabama in the Southern Appalachians. I am descended from the original English and Scotch-Irish settlers of America. We've been here and isolated for about 400 years. Many people say we speak Elizabethan English or King James English. Most fellow Americans can't understand us when we speak but we understand them perfectly because we've grown up with television and went to school wherein we were taught general American English. My people actually speak AEnglisch (we have different vowels) alot. But anyways , when you speak English I hear alot of familiar sounds that I don't hear in the US and I've travelled from the deep South to northern Appalachia to New and Old Mexico and Canada and the West Coast. Also when you and your lady are speaking with your children in your own language (even though I don't understand the Scandinavian languages) I get the gist of it. VERY Interesting! Beyond that I am a descendant of Germanic folks and this video was very informative and thought provoken. I've liked and subscribed and hope you'll post more videos. By the way, yall have a beautiful family! God bless the kinfolks!
