Daily video of the seashore between November 26 and December 9, 2023. Filmed on the C/O beach of hotel Sol Cayo Santa Maria at around 11 am. The stretches of beach called Playa Cañon and Playa la Estrella (which stretch from hotel Melia Buenavista in the west to the large Memories resort in the east), can be very different from one day to the next depending on the direction and strength of the winds and tides. The sea can either be very calm, calm, choppy or rough.

Where would you suggest for a middle aged couple looking to relax and enjoy the beach? (First time to Cuba)

It's hard to say, there are thousands of hotels in Cuba, it depends on your budget, and type of hotel you like (ambiance, luxury, size, ...). But if relaxing and quality of beach is you priority, I would say any of the Cuban Cayos would be good.
