I heard one of these when camping at about 3 am. It was far off in the distance, and did a call not like this one, but another video on here, one long and one shorter, except it sounded just like a man yelling. I was perplexed at the time not knowing what it was.

Just gorgeous!! I think I counted at least 13 points on the right maybe more on the left! Too gorgeous to shoot for sure. Now that we all have cameras in our pockets, we don’t have to shoot everything to prove we saw it not with a gun at least 😊

Ye, those are new Zealand deer, these antlers cannot occur in their European counterparts, their antlers are smaller and not having to much branches but are still big and gorgeous

Well the time I heard it, way off in the distance, it sounded exactly like a man yelling, very close to 'red stag roaring' video at 0:15. it made that same call for quite some time.

No its a roar for the red stag to attract other males when a male is attracted the other male roars and when the deer se eachother they fight and when thw females see the males they come and the stag that beats the other stags is the winner and the winner gets to mate with the females
