I tend to work harder after sandbagging the previous month so that I will have bigger months, then I my boss never calls me to ask me why my numbers are down. The previous month I just tell them, it'll all pay off next month, and then it all irons itself out.
Nailed it! I was preparing for a promotion to regional manager at my last company & this video gave me flashbacks!! No thanks. I left and am much happier now not being micro managed. 👍🏼
Although I agree with it completely, but still what is the alternative? I mean if we don’t take a mental target (on a higher side), we won’t have a direction and speed of achievement. Any work we do is a success. This will decrease the actual achievement as people become unmotivated. But the other side that you showed in your video is also equally true. I have been on both side of the conversation, and I still don’t know what is the best (or just better) solution. How much is too much or too little?
Hi, it would be better if the text wasn't added to the screen. I can hear what Brian is saying fine. Adding the text is like shouting out the punch line to a joke before the speaker is finished.
