Roro Well, it can be a bit hard to admitting to liking anime depending on what type of crowd you hang out with. I never told anyone I liked it in high school because I was more or less a jock, and was afraid of being an outcast. You're definitely not alone though, I'm sure there were/are tons of guys that were in the same situation as me lol.
I caught two pitcher's who threw 100 mph. I would not suggest anyone do this unless they are serious catcher's. This guy is doing it on a machine which is easy compared to a live pitcher who may or may not hit his spot.
Phoenix I was just saying that at some occasions, he can throw at that speed. But you're right. He averaged about 99+ on his pitches. But still... good luck catching him.
I'm a catcher for a men's rec league and I learned myself how to catch pitchers that throw 80-85 caught 90 a few times but always wanted to catch 100 mph pitcher hope to cross that off my bucketlist someday
Surely the big difference is a catcher with real pitcher knows roughly where it's going before it's pitched where here the guy has no clue where the pitch is aimed
if you cant hit at a cage where you can literally watch the pitcher throw it, just leave....the hardest part of the cage is not being able to judge the machine. this type of cage essentially eliminates that hurdle...just wow
Seriously! That's not that hard but I can understand if you are not fast at reacting and have really good eye sight those are they people who can catch hit a baseball which also can help them with catching a football too! But it was funny to watch how the catcher reacted that was funny! Good Laugh all in fun!
What I meant, if you are good at catching a baseball you will probably be at catching a football and I do not mean the just the catcher position in baseball. I mean catching the Baseball period! usually people who can't catch are not good with timing the ball and many other things that makes a person so great at catching. I could had been a great outfielder and most likely went Pro if I hadn't got injured and caught up with other things! Could I have been a Catcher behind the plat, No! Because I wasn't good at finding the ball after someone swung the bat but put me on Third Base or Outfield and I would DESTROY people! I would have been a horrible Catcher plus my Knees wouldn't have been able too take all that bent position. I've seen a 100mph and hit a 100mph but when the off speed Pitches come in between is what separates the Men from Boys.
+Allen Frye lol there are hundreds on first round picks from the last twenty years that never made it past AAA, never say that you woukd have made it to the majors unless you actually got drafted and played in at least AA.

you don't start out catching 100 mph pitches, you have to walk before you can run, geez. start out trying to frame 70 mph first. traveling at 100 mph you have about .400 of a second to react. when the ball is coming that fast a batter literally has to guess where it will be, the bat almost has to be in motion when the pitch is released.
That's embarrassing. Quitter. You didn't even TRY! You quit after TWO pitches. I'd say you need to put GIRL on your driver's license, but I know girls who CAN catch 100 mpg pitches. And the one who couldn't, at least TRIED. They didn't quit.

Machines are wild and you have nothing to go off of. At least with a pitcher you can track it out of his hand. Although I've only caught around 80 and I still sucked at it. Catching is fun, but it kind of sucks
They would have to be prospects of some sort unless this guy is bullshitting, no pitcher gets tracked throwing 100mph then isn't picked up with a college scholarship or signed right to A - AAA ball after getting drafted.
+Lugzeh It was in Independent ball about 15 year's ago and you would not know who they are because neither made it to the major leagues. Both had played in College and in the minors only to be cut. Both had great fastballs, but mediocre secondary pitches, and terrible command of those fastballs. Both pitched out of the bullpen. And to say that every guy, or kid, throwing 100 MPH will play in the minors, or college for that matter, is absolutely false. Throwing 100 mph by itself does not make one a good pitcher, or dictate a spot at the upper levels (college, minors, independent, mlb) of baseball.
+EJ Stephens Yea, you have to work your way up to that speed because the ball is going faster than most people's eye's and brain can react to it, especially if they have never done so. As far as comparing ease between a machine and a live pitcher goes, depends on how good the location of the pitcher is. If he is all over the place, it is a nightmare as a catcher.
