If you live in South East Queensland, it’s likely that you have driven past signs to Wild Horse Mountain Lookout countless times on your way to the Sunshine Coast.

Located about 74 kilometres north of Brisbane on the way to the Sunshine Coast, Wild Horse Lookout offers 360º degree uninterrupted views of the Glass House Mountains to your west as well as uninterrupted views of the Sunshine Coast
it's primary use is to help forestry rangers better manage the local Beerburrum State Forrest.
It location and elevation makes it especially good for spotting bush fires, but it's also a popular tourist destination where many people walk up the 700m sealed path to the top.

HOW TO GET THERE
To the starting point: Travelling on the M1 look for the Johnston Road turn-off that is signed Wild Horse Mountain Summit Lookout exit and Exit 171. (This is also the McDonalds / Beefy’s Pies exit.)
It’s located approximately halfway between Caloundra and Caboolture.
