I know they were hard to find, and as far as we could tell that toilet was still being used because it was the only one in the whole house that was not buried. Thanks for watching!
These are the exact videos I’ve been hoping to find on RU-vid!! Cleaning the homes of hoarders and completely redecorating in one video!! Can’t wait for more uploads!
Believe it or not, one of my friends basically volunteered to take the toilet out during demo. Which was great for me because that's my least favorite job! 😂
I use a great product called DensShield for my backer boards. It's like cement board but better - it already has a built in moisture barrier so you do not need to apply any other moisture barrier!
@@KashFloPro okay interesting. I guess I'm a bit confused because I didn't see you place any waterproofing on the floor under the tile. I'd assume water goes through the grout straight in to the cement and in to the walls. I hope I'm wrong because if I'm not there will be water damage. Things are done very differently in my country 🤔
On the floors we used vinyl planks, which are waterproof. On the walls of the shower, behind the tile the "cement" board itself is a special cement board that has already been waterproofed by the manufacturer. This bathroom will be good to go for a long time. Thanks for the questions!
The difference is amazing. I have a few questions. What happened to the hoarder and their "stuff"? Do you re-sell these places? Don't you wish you could actually move that fast?
Thank you! We had to throw away about 99% of the "stuff" unfortunately. This place we rented out. And yes I really wish I could move that fast, I could get the houses done a lot faster! 😂
I love to watch your videos. One question, the floor you have use before. I don't like it, I don't want to be rude. But in the bigger room you put it in it was much worse. But I like what you do!!! SORRY
Thanks! Actually the floor in this bathroom is different from the rest of the house, it does look similar though. Not everyone will like the exact same styles!
I think this is the best video of this house. The other is the basement. Where did you learn all this renovation? Did you learn it in school? Or just from working? Great job❣️
Thank you, I agree actually! Tiling is one of my favorite things to do. I am all self taught, mostly from RU-vid videos believe it or not! I have a degree in engineering so that might help in some cases, but for the most part I just learn as I go from reading and videos!
7:19 The tub and fiberglass wall are identical to the one I have in my bathroom. 50 years old! We're supposed to have the apts. renovated in my building, but they keep changing the time span (It's now 3 YEARS before it'll be done).
Yes and no. The product I use for the shower walls is called DensShield backer board. It's similar to traditional cement backer board, but way better. It's got a built in moisture barrier already, so you don't have to apply any red guard or moisture barrier once it's up! Just put a little silicon in the corners and you're good to go 👍
