Bet 99.95% of the horde was straight junk to be sent to the landfill. Those short pauses to salvage anything of value instead of straight shoveling everything out was what likely slowed y'all down.
When the house was empty did you install central air conditioning? You did a great job! But I would not have painted so much grey, I like many find it depressing.
Thank you! We did not install central air. There was no ductwork at all in the house for heat or ac, so it wasn't cost effective for how it would have affected the sale value
Really astounding transformation. Very good job! But why not put the kitchen floor down before installing the kitchen appliances? Much less hassle.... ?!
Thanks! The reasoning for that is the manufacturer doesn't recommend putting the floors under fixed objects like cabinets. Otherwise you are right, that would be way easier to do it that way!
Well it is good for another hundred years now. I know I am the exception but I love greys especially with wood and lots of white trim. It is timeless and pretty neutral too. Love it.
The transformation of the house was incredible, especially with the before-and-after shots! Such a motivating video! It's amazing to see how much value was added to the property through strategic renovations, and it's got me thinking about my own investment opportunities.
Lighter grey for paint colour would've been my choice to maximise light reflection & feeling of space throughout, especially with the flooring the darker colour. White trim helps a bit with this. A huge job done in a relatively short space of time ... especially that initial clean out!
do you know about those "leg jack boots" lol. like scissor lifts on your feet so you can walk around instead of geting on and off the scafold and moving it. I bet they are pricey, but I would want them if I was doing your job. Ceiling scraping and mudding. This is fun to watch, thanks for putting in the time.
Surprisingly, not much. There was a some junk in the back yard but not enough to even set up to film for removing it. Just trimmed up some weeds and cleared up the tree branches!
Looks great!!! I would have put some closet doors on in the bedroom, and maybe a new air conditioner...the other one "looked" old. But nice job and what a task!!! If I was 30 years younger I might do stuff like this too!
I thought the colors for the walls are a great choice, it broke up the architecture and made the ceiling a focal point, awesome job and I love the narration, you give a lot of great info. Thanks
