The cart looks okay. I do enjoy Blaster Master but the Gameboy game looks very cropped and it's a very tight small screen. It's just a shame Sunsoft did so many awesome games based on licensed properties (specifically Batman and even Pirates of Dark Water games were pretty fun) that I don't think we'll ever get.
I just got in some evercade games. My first time. Ive got the tomb raider bundle of both the exp-r and vs-r ordered. I didnt realize the games were kind of tiny. I was expecting them to be a little bit better. But at least they wont take up too much space as i continue to collect them. I got interplay collection 1, sunsoft 2 and indie heroes 1-3. I have more coming in the mail 😊. Im looking forward to playing in august once i get the exp-r and vs-r in the mail.
Been playing through Pri Pri. It takes a a few levels to understand the gameplay dynamics but once that happens.. the progression is quick and fun. Great vid. Ty
I agree, I wish there was an option to have either green or white for Gameboy, you can on 3DS playing official GB releases. A bit of a strange month, a few head scratcher on both carts and one or two make you wonder what the heck were they thinking when they made them. Cheers Crazy!
I’m just going on instinct here. But I thought games should be overly fun. Not frustratingly hard or bad! Seems like an interesting and polished mix on first glance. But it also seems to still be defined, if you should buy it. By that 1 GREAT standout game?! 🤔
We hadn't yet entered the time when it was generally accepted that frustration was a bad not a good thing in games when the majority of these were released.
Hi man, UK here thnx for the content. Curious, do you use a monitor or 4k tv for the vs? Im using it on a 55" samsung and doesn't look the best tbh. Wondering if it would be better on a 1440p monitor.
Hi, my pleasure. Appreciate you watching. So on my VS I play on a small 20" monitor 1080p. Its ideal for pretty much everything. Sadly a lot of old retro games look terrible on large screen tvs. Some look OK but others are a blocky mess. I'd always recommend smaller tvs or monitors if playing on the VS.
So far I like this this one. They need to fix Pri Pri, a game I actually like on this. Not gonna hold my breath since it's starting to seem like Retro Dodo fix is being ignored. I don't have Sunsoft 1 but this one does seem to be an improvement with better variety.
@@CrazyBurger Apart from the sound, the input for the hammer is often not recognized. When I first played, it had me thinking I had to somehow find one but nope, just broken. Walk around the levels hammering everywhere and you'll see half or more of the time it doesn't register. I've only played on EXP, can't say if it's like that on the other devices.
@@mythias wow.. thats interesting. The same thing happened to me on the VS. Totally froze. Had to pull the plug. Definitely a bit bugged then. I thought it was the VS playing up.
@@mythiasyeah, I pointed out the sound on social media and was more or less told I was hearing things. Evercade shouldn't be struggling with emulating Game Boy.
Given your thoughts on frustration in videogames your review of Glover should be interesting! 😂 I wonder why they gave us tge Megadrive Aero 2 when all the other 16 bit Sunsoft platformers have been SNES
Must be specific reasons but honestly dont know. Piko 4 coming later today.. Glover is certainly tricky but I'd take that over any of the games on Sunsoft.
I mean no disrespect but you play Sunsoft games the same way I play C64 games 😂 I love the cart! Pri Pri is a dodgy rom I think no matter what it’s on. Evercade has something for everyone.
