Well it was only about 500° with more people than I've ever seen in one place in all my 41 years. Do you remember that the ticket packet said there would be free water, which turned out to be shitty little faucets that stopped working almost immediately?
It’s always interesting seeing comments like this. Full disclosure, I’m in my mid 20’s. When I was a teenager, I was obsessed with the Woodstock 99 ‘disaster’. I likened it to the Altamont free concert and other similar happenings and musical mishaps. I’ve done a school research project on it, and I’ve watched pretty much every filmed setlist. I just keep forgetting that it took place not too long ago. It’s wild to me because I was so young when it happened.
2024. The world ends this year. We who live beside the ocean will leave the fire behind, swim out past the breakers and watch the world die. Thx for helping us through it with music.
Everclear is an underrated band! My cousin teased me in the 90s for liking their epic major label debut album but I think they have stood the test of time over the last 30 years!! 🎶
I remember watching this in grade 9 with my friends MTV 😢. Watched Everclear in person in 1997 and basically summed up my life. Opened for OLP and changed my life.
Saw them 2 weeks before this in Hampton Beach NH with Smash Mouth and Citizen King. They played right on the floor in front of a small crowd. Couldn’t have been standing more than 15 feet from Art. He was a wild man.
