🔔 WE FORGOT SOME STUFF! The most important: EARPLUGS (!). There are so many street dogs outside and they all start to bark in the evening, so you really need earplugs! And we also forgot a cap for the sun and sunglasses. That’s it. Thanks for watching and we are wishing you all the best for your EBC trek adventure! If you have any questions about the trek, just let's know! We're happy to help you. 😊

Interesting video. I did all three of my EBC treks solo, first back in 1998, walking from Jiri to Lukla over 10 days and then Lukla to EBC and back to Lukla over another 12 days or so, then again in 1999 and 2000, Lukla to EBC and back with a summit of Imja Tse on the 2nd trek. It was easier in some ways - didn't have to worry about mobile phones, internet access or how a digital camera would hold up to those Minus 20C nights at Lobuche as none of those things were generally available at the time! I took a 35mm camera (Pentax Espio, compact but with what was the biggest zoom lens available as part of the body). I took hundreds of photos and got them developed in Khatmandu as it was about a fifth of the price of having them done in the UK. I carried a double-sleeved cup with an iodine filter built in that was easy to carry and that I could dip into rivers and streams without worrying about what was in the water - it was 90% glacier water so just very, very cold. I miss Nepal so nice to get some glimpses of it again. Thanks for that.

I have one question regarding the tshirts and longsleeve blouses: are them 100% merino or you had some in combination with merino and polyester?
@LetsMeetAbroad
@LetsMeetAbroad Год назад
Hi Daphne! 😄

We want in April. Our sleeping bags were very warm during the night. However in December there is a different story. Some tea house’s provide extra blankets, so may be you can already ask them before booking with them if they will give you extra blankets. Because in December it will be easy to just book in the spot. We did that same in April. 2.5kgs is too heavy for a sleeping bag

@@LetsMeetAbroad well: I was in Nepal four times in four years and I never met anyone who either used ear plugs or regretted not using them. Maybe you should see a shrink? As for solo trekking in Kumbu valley. It’s possible it will be allowed for very experienced trekkers, but I doubt anyone else will be issued with the special pass required. And I expect it will be a total ban within a couple of years
